abound hold and expiring points dec 23

No. I tried to do the same thing for Sheraton steamboat springs. The Vistana IT system currently can only attach resort credits to a reservation made within the Vistana timeshare reservation system and only using Vistana StarOptions for the credit.
 
Example value propositions - exchanges for points:

Insurance - 800 points for a $199 annual policy = $0.25 per point

Resort Credits - What do they cost in relation to cash value received?

Reservation 645 points - yesterday for October 22nd Mountain Side Res - 645 points for 6 nights in 2 bdrm (Sun check-in, Sat check-out). Net of 30% discount or 280 points for reservation within 60 days. Oh, and used restricted Hold points. = 107 points per day for 2 bdrm.

I chose the reservation - all 2023 expiring points are now used up.

I have used expiring "60 day reservation restricted" Abound Points for resort credits of reservations I made using Abound Points. 325 Abound Points yield $110 resort credit.

Same here...a little over 33c per point more or less. Better than nothing.

That would have had to been to participating Marriott Vacation Club properties. The poster was asking about Westin Kirkland (a Vistana property) and you cannot currently use Abound points for resort credit at a Vistana resort even if you booked it in Abound. The Vistana IT system can only add resort credits paid in StarOptions and only on bookings made in the Vistana system.
 
i used holding points for 2 resort credits at the Aruba Surf Club next week for my daughter and husbands trip…I did it through the chat feature..the agent attached the 2 resort credits to their confirmation number.
