We have an air condition, one side facing the house. Our other house had plants that grew around three sides to hide it leaving room between plant and air conditioning as we trimmed.

My other half likes this plant. Do you know what it is?

Do you have a better suggestion?

No help from me. You would think by now there should be software out there where they can do image recognition and be able to identify plants. I had always struggled with identifying plants which came with the house I bought.

Since you live in the Carolinas, it’s probably a beautiful flowering plant.

Looks like a Needlepoint Holly to me........

very popular, as most Holly varieties are for landscaping.

According to target, needlepoint grows large and would have had red berries. Maybe look for something that only grows 2-3 feet tall.

What is the lighting like? Is it full sun by the air conditioner, or shady? If shady, I like azaleas but have be aware of full height. Some grow too tall.

Hi @Panina,

Does this bush flower or ever have berries? What do they look like?

Do the leaves fall off in the fall/winter?

Do the leaves change color in the winter?

I remember leaves on all year, leaves did not change colors, berries I don’t remember seeing.

It looks like boxwood to me, but I can't get a good sense of the leaf size.

Don't know about whether you like it or not, it depends if it will grow/thrive where you want to plant it. What zone do you live in, does that part of your yard get full sun or shade. Those are the considerations to account into account first before choosing a plant you like.
