When I lived there the Mall of America was a great place to go in the middle of winter when it was 20 below. Being inside had the feel of summer time and helped with cabin fever.I live 20 minutes from the Mall of America, one of the largest in the country. Haven't been there in many years. Boomers are getting too old for all that walking. Except of course for the mall walkers that like to exercise indoors in the winter. Many malls allow walkers in before the stores open.
I was there last summer, and I can confirm there is a larger mix of entertainment and restaurants than in the past, but with that said, there are still a TON of retail stores, as the place is just huge. When I lived there the Mall of America was a great place to go in the middle of winter when it was 20 below. My friend who still lives nearby says there aren’t many stores inside anymore and it’s more an entertainment venue now.
Good to hear about the MoA still working.I was there last summer, and I can confirm there is a larger mix of entertainment and restaurants than in the past, but with that said, there are still a TON of retail stores, as the place is just huge.
I was there on a weekday, and was pleasantly surprised at how busy it still is. Busier than any other mall I have been to in the last 10 years..
