I had never heard of any of them either, but found this article very interesting. Thanks for sharing, Richard!

And it made me wonder if the "winner, winner, Chicken Dinner" phrase that we use now (and have NO idea where it came from) was what they were "blaring" as they drove around handing out free samples?

I used to love the 7Up bar. Probably familiar to me because its maker Pearson was in Minnesota.

I remember Choco' Lite and remembering that I liked them. They were like a Crunch bar that was whipped before being set so it had lots of air pockets in the chocolate bar.

One that I thought may be on the list, but isn’t is the Bun Bar. I checked online and it’s still available although I haven’t seen one in years. It was my Dad’s favorite, since it was made in Ft Wayne, IN where he was born and raised. They started in 1920’s and I’m glad to see they are still available.
