[6/2009] studio for 1 br in Atlantis?

If I only have studio to exchange with, can it pull 1 br in Atlantis?
I don't think Atlantis have studio.
I am trying to pull during non peak season. Sept - May?
I already put request few weeks ago but no luck yet.

You will need a very strong trading unit to do so but it may be possible.

FYI, I have current request for Atlantis in October using a two bedroom SDO Christmas week with Starwood preference. The request was put in months ago.

With II, if you put in an ongoing request, you can only request the same size unit you deposited. So if you deposited a studio, II is not going to offer you a larger unit. [Edited to add - I forgot that Harborside does't have studios. In this case, you may get a 1 bdm., but it will require a strong trader.]

With an instant online exchange, it's theoretically possible to exchange a studio for a 1 bdm., but it's not likely.

If you own a Starwood resort, and get the Starwood priority in II, it's more likely, but it's still a longshot, with a high-demand resort like Harborside.

That's not accurate. You can only request a studio, but since the resort does not have studios, you can still request the resort but if you get an exchange it will be larger than a studio.

Of course, as noted, the OP must have the trade power to get the exchange.

To the OP, *wood just did a deposit of HRA units Sep-Dec.

They'll still be under the preference period, but it might help you refine your ongoing search to see if you can get one.

I'm sorry - I completely forgot that Harborside doesn't have any studio units.

However, the rest of my post is correct. It will be difficult to have enough trading power with a studio.

I think its possible, as I got a 2BR for a small 1BR for Sept. If you can't get what's out there now, you'll probably have to wait until the next bulkbank.

Yes, it is very possible to get a 2 bdm. with a 1 bdm., but you don't usually see them with a studio.

If I am able to see Disney before with my exchange, do you think it is powerful enough to see Atlantis?
I traded my 1br for Disney last year so I only have studio available.

I have a 2 bedroom unit that I can lock off into two 1 bedroom units. I know summer Harborside is probably a loooooooooooong shot, but if I wanted to get 2 bedrooms, would I have a better chance by depositing the 2 bedroom with an ongoing search to a 2 bedroom or lockoff and request 2 separate 1 bedrooms? I have the 'wood priority.

I would request a 2 bdm. with a 2 bdm.

I think that getting 2 separate units for the same week is more difficult, and there are no guarantess that you can get adjacent units.
