6,000 Hilton Grand Vacations points
Originally purchased as Club Interwest points, these were gifted to us over a decade ago and we've enjoyed using these for many years. However, we're changing how we travel and are no longer interested in using these points and are happy to give them away to anyone interested.

What are the annual maintenance fees?

Is this a deeded week and the name of the resort ?

Originally purchased as Club Interwest points,
It sounds like these are actually Embarc points then. Embarc is a trust TS system with MFs at 15.7¢/pt USD. These points might have resale value, but @cd5 can give advice.

Sorry, I haven't called yet to clarify what exactly they are calling them these days. I believe they are Embarc points. My wife has managed this account for us and we've just used points here and there w/o knowing a whole lot about them. When I have some time I'm going to call Hilton and get more info on exactly what points they are and what the annual fees are.

If anyone has advice on selling vs. giving away, I'd be welcome to it. thanks.

well you cant offer them for sale here, you mentioned you were giving them away?

if you are selling, youd need to post them in the marketplace.

Some good information in this thread, but I wouldn't believe the last post concerning ROFR from the salesperson. I don't think that HGV is exercising ROFR, but @cd5 can verify that statement.

Sorry for the ignorance, but what does ROFR mean and how is that relevant here? thanks!

Initially I was planning on giving them away, but only considered sale as an option when someone mentioned they might be worth something. I'll still probably just give away. I found out they are embarc points, but I think they can be used to trade outside of the embarc network as we've done that several times. I'm going to find out more details and then do a proper posting with all the relevant information.

Don't apologize for something that you don't understand, especially an acronym. ROFR means Rights of First Refusal. What this means is that the developer of the resort has the right to purchase your 6000 pts for the price that the buyer agreed to pay. The developer can waive their rights if they don't want to purchase. Now, I don't follow Embarc TSs, but I thought that @cd5 had previously posted that HGV has been waiving their rights (but I wouldn't trust my memory).

HGV hasn't been exercising ROFR on Embarc, they already have a sizeable inventory of points to sell and it gets replenished with points from defaulting members (HGV must take them back).
Memberships sell anywhere from 20 to 50¢ cad per point owned with the price going down as the annual fee payment date in November approaches. Any unused points that are already paid can also be added to the price at cost (21¢ cad). If not saved to next year yet, I would suggest doing that immediately so they retain their value as points expiring in Dec 2025 would not get as much on the market.
Note that since the membership is not deeded, it only costs $250usd to transfer to someone else. We have detailed instructions on the process on the Facebook page for a very active 7.5k group of Embarc members. (search for Embarc Members Group)

You can join Interval, SFX Resorts at minimal cost to trade outside of Embarc, and DEX will become free for all Embarc members by October at latest.

I am interested in those points, are they still available? Please let me know

YES! these points are still available. I can now confirm they are 6K embarc points (with about 11K total available currently) with Hilton Grand Vacations. The Annual fee last paid in 11/24 was $940US. I would like to give them away with the recipient paying any transfer costs.

I don't do facebook. Is there another place that has ownership transfer instructions? Can I just trust HGV to guide me through the process?

I would like to take them, have sent you a DM. Could you please check and reply?

I would think member services has it documented. Try them first and get back to me if they don't.

I've submitted an email requesting ownership transfer docs and process to HGV. I'll confirm the xfer fees once I hear back, and how many of the 11,350 points will be available for xfer. I will notify each of you individually in the order in which you first responded when it's all ready to go. I'm looking for the xfer recipient to pay the xfer fees. So far I think the optimistic view is for 11,350 points to be transferred for $250, but I'll confirm the details when I learn them.

I've made contact with the HGV team via email, and now waiting on their response. They do not make it fast or easy to transfer ownership. I'll update here when I've heard more from them. Thanks for your patience!
