30 tpu is good enough for a disney exchange?

I'm new to timesharing. I deposited a week from my carlsbad seapointe which gave me 30 tpu. I want to put in an on going search for disneys animal kingdom. how do i know if 30 tpu is enough to exchange into a one bedroom? has anyone exchanged weeks for a disney resort? how many tpu do I need? i don't want to pay for an ogs if i need way more tpu. if you've been able to exchange into any disney resort in orlando, can you share how many tpu was needed?

season makes a difference. 30 might work for low season, but unlikely for high season. Also, if limiting to AKV you will need to have flexibility of weeks.

Thanks, jackio. very helpful info. The RCI rep told me that 30 tpu would be enough for sure!! That's why we have to do our own due diligence.

Right now Disney is looking at 34 TPU's.

I remember reading a couple years ago that a good time to check is 2:00 AM after RCI has been down for the weekend or whatever. Three days later at 2:00 AM I found a Saratoga Springs for 10TPU. I had another week on hold that I then released. Maybe a coincidence, and during a slow time of year, but I have seen this also a couple other times.

I'm in central time zone. Others are much more knowledgeable about this than I am. I may have just been lucky. The ones that I have seen were for the following weeks.
