Update: all 3 intervals given back to wyndham under the ovation program - no fees charged to the owner!

posting this for a family friend who wants out of her 3 wyndham points packages.

package 1: Sale Pending

Wyndham Myrtle Beach westwinds udi - 49,000 POINTS - 387.59 MF - $147 Program fee

package 2:

fairfield sapphire valley F/W - 77,000 points - $840.49 mf

package 3:

wyndham Durango - eoy even i believe - 84,000 POINTS (also with 84k additional included) - $747.60 mf

owner is looking to give these away, but would prefer for buyer to cover the closing/transfer costs if possible.

Sent you a PM. Maybe interested in a package if they are being offered individually. Small package added to what I currently hold in Wyndham points would give me enough to have a week almost anywhere. LOL

In package 1 are the points annual? on what date?

Just for the sake of clarity for others, the Program Fee is not attached to the Myrtle Beach contract. If someone takes over and owns only that contract, they will pay $128 ($147 is for Plus Partners - Developer sales only). As they add points, they will continue to pay $128 until they've reached 232K points, at which time they will be charged $0.55 for each thousand points they own.

i was curious about that, the program fee is specifically listed on the line item for that 1st package only...so i posted it exactly how she gave the info to me as to not hide anything =)

(it specifically says 0.00 in the program fee lines for the other 2 intervals)

thanks for clearing it up though!

here i scanned a copy of the ownership summary

Yeah, it shows on the first contract on the Owner Summary for the sake of reporting the fee, but the fee is actually charged at Member Number level. So if they were to get rid of Myrtle and keep the other two, Sapphire would then show $147 (or $128 if the two remaining contracts were resale).

makes sense...learn something new every day!

owner is more than happy to split up the intervals vs selling to same buyer (got a few pms on that)

The second contract is listed as

fairfield sapphire valley F/W - 77,000 points

Does the F/W stand for Fixed Week? If so this looks like a fixed week converted to points. That could have implications for ARP. (Advanced Reservation Priority)

she mentioned to me it was a fixed week that was converted to points yes.

what would that mean for a resale buyer?

That means they only get ARP on the underlying deeded week, vs UDI, which gets ARP for any time period at the deeded resort. It can be substantial if you actually want ARP at that resort.

gotcha...learned two things today!

glad i posted the details now!

sale pending on package 1

update, all 3 of these intervals were given back to wyndham at no charge under the ovation program.
