I have a reservation at the District in May. It's now less than 60 days so I can't modify the reservation, only cancel it. There is no current availability for the dates that I have reserved.

Has anyone been able to have Club Support do a cancel/rebook when there is no current availability (with or without adding a day or subtracting a day)?

Yes, many times usually to shuffle points. There is always a possibility that they might lose the reservation in the process.

How frequently do they lose the reservation? I had to call them a couple of weeks ago to decrease the number of days in my District reservation, they had to cancel it and rebook it (even though it was more than 60 days out) but they didn't mention that they could lose the reservation.

They usually tell me about the possibility. I asked once and was told that this CS lost one in 3 years of doing this. I have never lost any of my cancel and rebooks.

I have never had it happen in many attempts.

The inventory will not show up online for about 5 minutes. The likelihood someone iscalling in and checking at the exact second you release and in the 20-30 seconds it takes them to rebook it is pretty slim but not impossible.

I was also looking to add a day to a stay at the District in May and the availability was pretty spotty across the whole month for the past 5 days. Suddenly late today, three of the four room types were open across the whole month. I've never seen availability open like this.

Just stayed there last week. They’ve been working on the rooms - new rugs, art, and sofas in the room we had. Perhaps they had availability blocked off until they finished that.

When I was there in November, a manager showed me the first room that had been completed. I suggested they change out the motion detector in the bathroom as it is very annoying going in to the bathroom at night. I got some tape and a piece of paper to cover it at night.
