You can buy a gc on II right up,to check in.

Oh awesome. I have Newport in 2 weeks and can't use the whole week. I would like to rent out 4 days. Gotta figure out the best place to do that but was worried about the Marriott time restrictions

When I said gc I meant guest certificate which you buy on Interval to allow friends or family to use your II exchange or getaway.

You can’t rent out anything you get on II- it is against the rules and they can revoke your membership.

With direct MVC bookings (home week or points reservation) it not a gc/ guest certificate, it’s changing the name on the reservation.

Splitting any whole week into a partial stay and renting out the rest is fraught with problems and added costs. That and other issues as noted above.

You can offer it up in the Distressed forum on TUG. While you can't actively solicit a payment, I am sure it happens as people want to help out. Just be sure to follow the distressed rules that are in one of the sticky posts.

If you place a request and it matches what you asked for they don’t call before confirming.
But you do have 24 hours to cancel so be sure to check your account every day.
