That makes the occasional exchange a whole lot more appealing. I have been there only once but have had many OGS matches over the years. I just have to say, they need to get those chimneys cleaned more regularly. Rick checked (certified master chimney sweep of 40 years and a firefighter of 40 years), and it was dangerously dirty. Lots of soot buildup. That is not an area where you could easily contain a fire. Rick was shocked and told the front desk they need to get after that. Maybe all are not as bad as ours.

For a complex like that one, the resort should be able to get a price of $150 each for all of them. A good sweep can do two an hour. I am adding $$$ because it's CA, and that is way different from here. Our guys do full cleanings for $60 per unit in complexes for full cleans.

Last year I called the front desk about flames coming out of a chimney in the unit in front of ours.

"What do you mean, actual flames coming out of the chimney?"

I had already paid mine (Portfolio) but had been meaning to look at year over year. 680 points, last year was $883.38 total, this year was $1051.95. Increase of $168.57. Would be difficult to go back and look at the couple priors years, but might later this weekend if I get bored. I used to keep track of it all, but kinda gave up, and I borrowed from next year, so I prepaid earlier. Took the sting out of seeing the full total.
