I have been getting calls from a place called max professionals . They are telling me that as Owner of a time share ,if I don’t use my weeks that year , I don’t have to pay my maintance fees and also there is to pay your maintance fees as you go. What is correct

Sounds like a scam. If I don't use my weeks in a year, I still have to pay the maintenance fees. I suppose one could argue that yearly maintenance fees are pay as you go... I pay them every year and get the use of my timeshare each year, but those maintenance fees are payable regardless of your usage.

SCAM! You should block them from your phone and email immediately. Further contact with them will only ID you as an "easy mark," and you will get contacted by lots more scammers.

You will have to pay fees each and every year that you own your timeshare. Don't be scammed by someone claiming otherwise.

If you sell (or giveaway) your timeshare then you will no longer be required to pay annual maintenance fees.

.

no random company who contacts owners out of the blue is legitimate.

I heard that that is true of some places in Mexico. How true that is, IDK. However, someone contacting you out of the blue to tell you this (whether it's true or not) is probably trying to lead you down the road to a scam.

I can assure you that it is a scam. Cold call=scam. No one is calling you to help you. They are looking to help themselves.

@Domastimeshare1979

You started this thread in 2023 with another phone call. Stop taking calls from people who are not in your contact list.

Anyone who calls you regarding your timeshare is a scammer. No one is calling to help you.

It is likely your timeshare is worthless. Edit your profile and enter what you own.

If your timeshare system will not take your timeshare back, you can offer to give it away to someone else, or you can stop paying the maintenance fees. Those are your two options.
