[ 2023 ] Dishwasher issue

When I move (in a year), which refrigerator should I sell (get rid) of...
(a) the noisy, 5-year old LG, that already had it's compressor replaced; or
(2) the quiet, 20-year old Whirlpool in our garage that's had no issues?
I'm tempted to dump the LG.

Over the years we've managed to change out everything but the dishwasher. I wanted to have it match the other appliances but last year decided to install a new black single bowl kitchen sink. Now the sink with faucet matches the dishwasher on the North wall and the stove, microwave with fan and fridge all match on the East wall. Oddly, it all worked out.

Definitely the LG!

My son bought all new LG appliances from Lowes. The fridge has been nothing but problems. Even after having the fridge replaced, then the compressor replaced, that fridge is noisy. Dumping the LG might be a good idea.

Dumping any LG Appliance is likely a great idea, however I wouldn't waste my time with a 20 year old Whirlpool that is in your garage. The best way to deal with this is buying a brand new refrigerator.

And it continues….

So tomorrow we are getting the new dishwasher and installation.

Meanwhile today hubby decides to turn the breaker back on just for Ha Ha’s and turn the dishwasher on and Viola’! It lit up!

So crazy! We asked GROK about the issue and boy did it give a detailed troubleshoot for our exact model number. Of course it could be a zillion things, but it’s overwhelming. Unbelievably it said that this issue is common in this model after 2-3 years!

I guess if the new dishwasher has the same issue we will know we need an electrician to check wiring.

If not just as well we got a new dishwasher since who wants a dishwasher that can’t last past 2 or 3 years before having problems?

Pretty backsplash!

Wow, very futuristic looking. I like the way it looks gold from the reflection of your floor (is that real wood? It looks great also). I was envious when I saw you mention the feature where the door pops open when finished to let the dishes air dry.

Yes our floor is real wood.

For the dishwasher I will probably just use the normal setting with the auto door opening feature ( to air dry the dishes). Definitely will not be installing the phone app! Lol! I don’t get the usefulness of that and I keep things simple.

It does have a third rack on top for utensils or other small flat items. And an interesting feature is it has a light inside that comes on when you open the door.

might be a good idea to keep the older one, made better . We thought over 20 years ago our old kitchen fridge may need replaced, it's still in our garage working great!!
