I am wondering how everyone is planning to use their timeshares in 2021. Using MVC DPs, I just booked a 3 day weekend at Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe for Feb 2021 because we can drive there. I also booked a week at Marriott Crystal Shores in Marco Island for next summer. I am hoping it will be safer to travel by next summer. In 2021, we have two weeks available to stay at the Four Seasons Aviara in Carlsbad so I hope to book that for Christmas/New Years 2021. Carlsbad is within driving distance for us. I just booked a trip to Kauai for next summer too.

Right now we are going to Maui and Molokai in May. And we may try to get to Kauai in February.

Taking another chance and deciding to use restricted SO for 2020. Hoping harborside is open by thanksgiving.

I am of an age where Covid has the potential to be fatal. Because I believe the situation that exists today will not change prior to a vaccine to be found and distributed, I am not making any plans to travel in 2021. If the situation is looking good, I may decide to do a car trip nearer home. Fortunately I do not have an annual maintenance fee, but pay upon use. I will miss breaking winter's back with two or three weeks of sun and sand.

VRBO Gatlinburg in April (20ish family member gathering) and then Disney in September

Currently booked for Palm Desert last 2 weeks of January, a week in Phoenix/Scottsdale in March, another week in Palm Desert potentially for a golf tournament which may be scheduled in the last week of March, and planning for 2 weeks in Marriott's Ko Olina towards end of 2021. I am sitting on 7K DC points which will expire end of June 2021 so we are hoping that owner events will open up by June so that we can burn our points there.

Updated: I forgot that we have also booked at Newport Coast for June 2021.

After Park City, Utah, in December, we'll lay low until...
The Florida Strawberry Festival, March 4-14, in Plant City, Florida.
... We're easily amused.

Lots of travel plans which are mostly for road trips but hoping to attend a wedding in Dallas end of February and hoping for a trade into HHI in May.

For 2021 I currently have the following:

Westin Lagunamar (Cancun) in March/April
WKORV-N (Maui) in August

Not sure on work travel. Will probably start doing that in March after the Chinese New Year if China reopens.

San Jose del Cabo for 3 weeks in February. Vancouver BC for 2 weeks in June. We are hoping for Europe for a couple weeks in September or October.

We decided not to take our usual trips in 2021. Will depend on whether or not Covid is under control.

We are planning a month long trip to Ireland in Sept 2021, otherwise last minute trips to Arizona and possibly Branson Covid permitting. I have a much sunnier outlook on Covid than most here. Might be wishful thinking but the doom and gloom just doesn’t scare me anymore.

Pensacola Fl to help dd when her baby comes in feb, Maui & Big Island in May, Yellowstone in September, Alaska in late fall.

We just got back from Yellowstone and we did not eat out as much but everything else was pretty normal.

I’ve pushed a lot of our timeshare availability to future years. Assuming things improve, we’ll be traveling a little “higher on the hog” in terms of reserving the better units, the best views and the more expensive resorts to book.
Next year we have one very expensive week booked on Marco Island in a resort we never really considered. But I had points that really needed to be burned, so we’re going somewhere we deemed “to expensive” in previous years. After that we’ll make 2 trips to Colorado that are within driving distance at a resort we own, one week an ownership week, one an exchange week on a deposit that was in danger of expiring.
I may be using points for things I never considered in the past. Perhaps a cruise, maybe car rentals, possibly flight or even convert to hotel rewards points

So far, Feb 13 days at Governor Green in Williamsburg VA, 20 days at Edisto Island SC in March April, Memorial Day week at Bentley Brook, MA

Trying to be optimistic, but recently read that vaccine may be available late 2021. currently, have some Aulani ressie in Dec 20 & Mar 21 and our first Marriott stay in LV June 2021.
Pre-Covid, had planned for Disney World 50th in Dec 21 with Miami stay to watch a Dolphins football game...TBD

I have said before and will re-state, dh does not plan to travel until there is a vaccine. That said I have a week booked in Newport, RI for October 2021. We would pair that with a week in NYC (rental). That is what we planned for this year, but we canceled that trip. Flights will most likely be made with points (Southwest) and credit from Jet Blue for the flight that was canceled from this year. So we can most likely book air and cancel (again) if we need to.

We are booked for Maui in July and BI last week in June. We will drive to our vacation rental/home in Tahoe and use that this winter to ski. May stay at a hotel or two to use up the free night certs at a local/drivable location TBD. IDK May get on a plane. I am getting cabin fever and beginning to think the airports may be safer by now. But wondering what we would do since so many attractions and restaurants are shut down.

I own HGVC points exclusively, and between increasing our ownership significantly in the fall of 2019 and having to cancel a large vacation scheduled for June, 2020, I found myself with a lot o points to use. I decided to start grabbing reservations at Valdoro in Breckenridge, CO for this winter. Right now, I have a total of 33 nights during ski season. Valdoro is a drive-to location for me, I generally travel by myself for skiing, and don't hit the bars / restaurants while there, so I feel I will be pretty safe, and not much different than if I at home. Since I can work from anywhere these days, I plan on working from Valdoro for a good portion of my stays, and try to hit the slopes many days, even if it is just for a few hours in the afternoon. It will be a grand experiment!

For now,

Booked two weeks late Feb/early March - Disney DVC OKW & Disney Vero Beach Resort - our first winter (16 days) getaway
Plan on booking early November - DVC - BCV

Depending on COVID/traveling restrictions/safety - looks like it's time to plan Italy (minimum two weeks)

Two weeks in February in Williamsburg and two weeks in Myrtle Beach or Hilton Head in April.
Depending on COVID-19/ traveling restrictions.

Praying / Looking at a transatlantic cruise from Florida to Rome next year or a 14 days cruise to the ABC Islands or a cruise from Florida to California (. Panama cruise).

Just a sampling of 2021:

January 8th, Legend's Edge, Panama, followed by Orlando, Disney's OKW and Marriott's Sabal Palms.
February 15-March 27, Maui, Hono Koa, SOK and Westin Nanea (we will quarantine for the first 14 days, if we must)
April 16th-30th, Boston and Berkshires
5/30-6/6, Marriott's Harbour (one of them, cannot remember which). Working on a second week before that one.
June 19th-26th, Kauai (no exchange yet) followed by 26th-3rd, Big Island (Kohala Suites)

Back to Steamboat Springs in Jan for the ski season (which will certainly be a different expience for this, my 24th season).
Resume my annual London visits (which I may do yet this year IF travel restrictions are relaxed)
Likely spring trip to Raintree Puerto Vallarta (again depending on travel restrictions)
Summer Family vacation to Seabrook Island SC (definite maybe)

Cheers
