Or told by a salesman that, as an owner, they’d always receive preferential, special and privileged treatment. Our original salesman was upfront that, as an exchanger, the view didn’t trade and we’d be beneath owners staying on their time at their home resort. Likewise we were told, so long as we were owners staying on our time at our home resort, we’d receive preferential treatment based on 1. Our ownership level (single week, multiple week at Ocean Point, multiple week at various resorts) 2. Time stamp of when we made our reservation.
I’ve seen, and laughed at, the entitled who believe their status trumps all others, including home week resort owners, and that they should be treated like royalty with all the employees their subjects.
At the same time I’ve felt pity for those MVC employees that have to endure this childish behavior of entitlement. Having to put up with an adult throwing a temper tantrum is unpleasant at best. To that end I’ve always tried to be content with the unit we’ve received, but we’ve been multiple week owners from very early on and unit placement hasn’t ever been much of an issue.
