2020 Holiday Inn Club Vacations Maintenance Fees

I would like to see if we could start a Maintenance Fees thread for HICV, and hopefully compare increases from 2019.

Orange Lake bill format includes the following:

Associated Resort, Unit type and Frequency.

Fees breakdown as follow:
  • Operating Assessment
  • Reserve Assessment
  • Property Tax
  • Voluntary Contribution
Holiday Inn Club Membership fee did not change from 2019, and it is currently $136.

This might be a dumb question but I’ve been given contradicting information regarding EOY ownership. Are Desert Club Maintenance fees for EOY contracts paid annually or only on the year ownership fall on? Example if Desert club Maintenance fees are $347 do you pay $347 every year or do you pay $347 on just the year your ownership falls on?

Just looking at that amount my guess is every year. I couldn't imagine even a 1 bedroom usage at less than $600 total. If the amount was $600-$800+ for a 1 BR or 2BR than I would say it was just on the use year.

That’s what I’ve been inclined to believe. But because they don’t specifically state it’s paid annually or EOY I want to be certain.

That’s what I’ve been inclined to believe. But because they don’t specifically state it’s paid annually or EOY I want to be certain.

There is an annual one listed above for 2020 at $691 and $665 in 2019 and the EOY one listed the the $347 for 2020 and $331 in 2019.

I own EOY desert club, and it is paid every year. It is half of the yearly usage basically. Also, 1b and 2b have similar MFs, so not worth buying a 1b unit. 2b lock-off are unicorns.
