[ 2018 ] Opinions on using Redweek full service to sell a timeshare (2018 thread)

Very interesting thread. It would be worth it to me to have a commissioned professional handle messages from scammers asking for a donation and newbies who are oblivious to closing costs, etc. I mean, the quicker and less hassle I have in liquidating my TS points to invest in cryptocurrency, the better. The reality is that I am but a typical vacationer and have no interest in becoming a landlord or a property manager. Thanks again for this thread and I appreciate no bullying.

Working with Redweek right now to buy and it hasn’t been inspiring confidence so far. Long time to respond to every email, wuoting me high cost s to buy and I had to remind them that their add says free, seller pays all costs…

I had three verified sale listings on RedWeek.com. All three sold before the verification was complete. RedWeek.com refunded the extra charge for verification.

We have purchased several timeshares via Redweek Full Service postings with no issues completing a transaction to date. Time to complete anywhere from 3 months (pre-2020) up to 6 months. We just maintain our patience throughout the process with expectations that it may take additional time coordinating through their process as intermediator between the buyer, seller, closing agent and Marriott. Currently working on a 3 bedroom Marriott Grand Chateau purchase

I do not think it has been mentioned, but using Redweek full service to buy a timeshare requires using Redweek closing service which costs more than LT Transfers. LT transfers creates a sales agreement when they collect buyer, seller and unit detail information as part of the transfer process. I bought a timeshare using Redweek full service and paid Redweek closing services and it went well. I would do so again but I would make my offer contingent on the seller paying the additional costs for Redweek closing service since I can get the transfer done for several hundred dollars less.
