Wow. Great information. I don't want to be a renter.
This option does two things for me, outlet for unused points, and long term if it comes down to it, give all.

No doubt but an owner renting directly has a lot more skin in the game then an owner having their points brokered.

At the resorts I book at I can beat this program every time because I book then find the person that wants the room. There are many others including yourself who do the same at other resorts.

With the availability of wyndham rentals I would advise people to just rent reservations.

That being said this is a very innovative program and beats buying from Wyndham direct.

The risks you point out are still there even if you take out the middleman and deal directly with an owner The owner could cancel, or sell out from under you. The only way to "guarantee" your access to the points with platinum discounts is too buy them from Wyndham. As someone said the only risk is the initial fee you pay Mike for the service, If that makes you uncomfortable in spite of the high praise Mike gets here, dont buy in (buy from Wyndham instead)

And regarding speculative bookings: What Mike is selling is the equivalent of a Wyndham Platinum ownership for a relatively small fee. and no ongoing obligations. Owning one of Mikes passports doesnt magically guarantee a reservation whenever you want. Just like an owner everything is subject to availability. A passport "member" has to plan ahead just like an owner

Mike has used well over 30million of my points for his members and it looks like we will do about that much again next year. Remember my name is on every reservation confirmation. and I havent gotten a single complaint yet (Im glad My Lyle's reservations werent done in my accounts)

I'm happy with my WINPOINT purchase.

I've had the 500K point plan for several years now and I feel that I get what I paid for. I probably don't use all these points but Mike finds me the timeshare I request almost every time I ask for one, and does it within 24 hours - usually faster. I was motivated more by getting rid of my Wyndham ownership than by getting more vacation time. Mike was able to get rid of that for me at no charge. My only worry is what will happen if a piano falls on Mike's head. Live long Mike.

I guess the owners of winpointvip asked some current users to come to TUG and register and post here about their experience with the company. either that or shills (which I hope isn't the case) at least all the testimonials aren't from newly registered guests.

No doubt Mike or one of his brokers asked satisfied customers to post their experiences. That some of them are new to tug or that all of them may have been asked to post doesnt make what they said any less valid

But if you dont want to accept that, read the chain of emails that Mike sent me. He asked me to read them and come to my own conclusions. Id ask you to do the same

You are exactly right I book special events (speculative booking) and then I cancel and rebook to get these weekends at 40 to 60000 points. which I rent for $1200-$1500. Do the math and you see Im getting $20-$30/1000 points. Mike's people pay $6/1000 special event or not. But just like an owner they have to plan in advance. and let Mike know early what it is they want.

No question we are working this differently than Mike is. But my name is on every reservation that Mike makes in one of my accounts..> and I have to pay my maintenance fees every month. I think I have considerable skin in the game.

It is very much in my best interest that Mike does a good job with my points. which is why I called him for an explanation when I saw Mr Lyles post. .

2nd Post

Presley, yes many of us are probably first time posters, because we care that Michael is being mis-characterized. The product and the man are both "First Rate".
Yes, as with any product there is a small segment that want to complain about what they didn't know, what they didn't listen too, or what they didn't make time to read about. The purchaser, sent a check, signed a contract and verbally agreed to purchase a contract, he could be his own worst enemy.

My husband and I have been WINPointVIP Passport Holders for almost two years now and we have never once regretted our purchase of a Passport. In fact, we tell everyone who likes to travel that this product is the greatest thing ever! We enjoy dealing with Mike Sullivan and Marc Thomas as they both have the integrity and helpful attitudes we are looking for, and they have never let us down yet. Bookings are subject to availability but that's just a no brainer anyway; and WINPointVIP goes out of their way to acquire them - and upgrade them - if at all possible.

Mikelyle, why don't you try using your Passport for a few trips so you can appreciate how affordable and convenient it really makes traveling for you?

Even if WINPointVIP was somehow shut down tomorrow (heaven forbid!), we still would not have any regrets on our decision to do business with Mike Sullivan!

Thanks for reading this!

I'd love to try it out, but at this point I can't.........Mike Sullivan "suspended" my one week old "Passport" Now He has my $7,000.00 AND won't book any vacations for me. This is exactly why I wanted out when I found out it was not Wyndham.

Yes, all of what everyone says is probably true of Mike. I only know my experience.
As of now, Mike Sullivan has my $7,000.00 and "suspended" my 1 week old "Passport". I have nothing. Those are the facts.

If Mike Sullivan is as honorable as stated, please pressure him to either let me book with the 500,000 points that I bought or give me my seven thousand dollars back. For him to keep both because he is angry is not honest / fair.

This could happen to any one of you. You are all in the position of completely relying on Mike Sullivan to do the right thing.

I'm an honest guy that bought something that I feel was misrepresented to me.....Now I cannot even use what I bought a week ago, that's not honorable.

Mike S "suspended" my 7 day old "Passport", Mike S. has my seven thousand dollars. I have nothing..... All because Mike Sullivan is angry that I felt he misrepresented WINPOINTVIP ? ?
Doesn't seem first rate to me. Remember, this could happen to any one that bought a "Passport"

Don't know Mike and have never done business with him ... but at this point, your war of words, multiple (similar themed) posts and unhappiness is NOT helping your cause.

Have you noticed NO ONE is agreeing with you?

Either spend (a LOT more of) your money for legal advice .. or change the tone to "I want to learn to use your product" to get $7000+ worth of vacations.

Make amends would be my suggestion ..... JMHO.

Hi Ron....Everyone's experiences are different. Mine certainly was. As of right now, Mike Sullivan has my $7,000.00 and "Suspended" my one week old Passport.....At his whim. The Contract has no language in it that states "If Mike Sullivan is in a bad mood , he can Suspend " your passport. He is holding hostage something that I paid for. He should either do bookings for me or refund the purchase price.
The irony is: When I found out that he isn't selling a Wyndham product, this was the exact fear that caused me to want to cancel.

Obviously Mike Sullivan put out a bulk email requesting high praise on this forum.....Confirmed by Rhonda's Post
How do you make amends with someone you purchased a product from and they won't give you the product, or the purchase price. I understand everyone had good experiences with Mike. I did not. I've been buying from Marc Thomas and Herb (when he was alive) for some 20 years, never had a problem. What would you suggest is a fair outcome ?

He is selling a Wyndham product, as a middleman.
If you were to buy 500,000 points it would cost more than 10 times that, and you would still have to book 23 months in advance to get what you want, maybe.
I suggest you make nice-nice with Mike and move on.
What homework did you do? You probably wanted to do timeshares but not at the price of going direct.
You have the same benefits I do, as a direct buyer, on the cheap. I bought direct because I could and it fits what I want to do, I have a plan, do you? Get over it talk with Mike or the rep. that is assigned you, and learn!

How about $7000.00 for 0 points....Thats what I have.....I'm not making that up,
Make Nice Nice with the guy that took my money AND wont give me what I paid for ?......He has everything, How does one make Nice Nice. Furthermore, I don't do business with people that I have to make Nice Nice with to get what I paid for. I'll let the state of Wisconsin and the Better Business Bureau make Nice Nice. I paid for something that he is not giving me.

It is this simple....I paid $6,995.00 for 500,000 points. I do not have my points and I do not have my $6,995.00.
At any given moment Mike Sullivan can suspend your account for whatever reason he decides. I don't want to do business with someone that has that control of our relationship. He not only can do it but did do it.

This is a copy and paste of his email explaining "Why" he stole my money:

Mike, As per my earlier notification and follow up phone call, your WinPointVIP Passport has been suspended due to your actions to intentionally harm my business. My attorney will be in contact with you outlining the steps necessary in order to reinstate your WinPointVIP Passport. Your existing reservation at Wyndham Sea Garden will remain in place but no other passport services will be available to you until and unless you cease and desist from taking any additional actions that would be harmful to WinPointVIP Inc as well working diligently to reverse the harm already caused by your false and misleading statements. One of the issues that you're going to have is that you are getting access to the points, the same as any other owner. The units you're looking for were reserved at or before the 7:05 am mark 10 months ago by those same owners. There is not going to be anything available on the Wyndham website at Glacier Canyon for those dates except for a stray cancellation that might pop up for a few minutes.

You're going to have to plan much further in advance, particularly for Glacier Canyon. You might have a shot asking him for something like that (the 2 bedroom units anyway, the 4 bedrooms will be long gone) for check in July 29th, August 5th, or August 12th 2016. Those reservation windows will be coming open in the next few days.

There have been more than one set of posts about Winpoint including this one that was started 3 years ago and it always seemed pretty clear to me that this was not a wyndham program. If nothing else the $7,000 vs the $50,000-$100,000 or more that Wyndham would charge for that kind of program would tip me off. As a purported long time Tug Member despite being listed as a guest who signed up 9 months ago, I would have thought that would have been clear. $7,000 from Wyndham would have gotten you maybe 3 years in a discovery Program.

At this point you need to decide if you want to pursue this through legal action or if you want to start fresh and have your passport re-instated.
