[ 2012 ] Hold on RCI - don't see option to hold for 24 hours is it just me?

I see cancel or confirm only

can someone check and see if they see same thing. I was looking for a last minute week for a friend so wanted to hold while I give her the info

Sometimes there is no on hold option. It happened to me in the past when I already had a few resorts on hold. It also happened to me with specific resorts who maybe don't like the option. And once I had a resort on hold but it was changed into an ongoing search option. Anyway, you can always call RCI and get a resort on hold. And besides you can always confirm and cancel it within 24 hours without any costs.
 
It depends how last minute it is. Check the cancellation policy to make sure it allows 24 hour cancellations within your time frame for 100% refund.
 
Weeks or Points? There is a difference. Points has no holds, and there is no ability to add a guest's name, either. Calling an RCI guide is more necessary for Points than Weeks. I dislike the process....
 
Definitely if it's last minute, there is no hold option.
 
It also may be your browser - I can't see all the functions using Firefox. :shrug:
 
IF the vacation is within 2 weeks from the day you are searching you cant put it on hold. The reason is when you put it on hold it takes it out of inventory and no one else can see it... when its that close the likelyhood it will get exchanged out is lower so they want ANYONE to be able to see it. Although if you confirm you do have until the end of business the next day to change or cancel with no penalty unless it is within 3 days of the start of the vacation... sot hat is an option.

Also... if its points inventory it wont let you
