IgoUgo.com has just announced the nominees for their annual awards for travel writing and photography. If my contributions inspired you this past year, I hope you will consider voting for me (MilwVon).

I've been nominated for my African safari travel journal, as well as a couple of photos from that same trip.

Award Winners Announced

Thank you to everyone who enjoyed my IgoUgo contributions in 2011 and voted for my journal and/or photos that were nominated for their annual "best of" awards.

The winners were announced today and I was fortunate to win for two photos (best nature and best people). The travel journal that won in the nature writing category was by someone who I have a very high regard for. Frankly, I'm surprised that this year's selection was her first writing award from them.

Here are the two photos that I did receive "best of" recognition for:
