[ 2009 ] Tri West Real Estate

Signed Up we

I spent over an hour talking with the Tri West broker getting the details, information and a comfort level. The broker I spoke with was a Marriott specialist and familiar with Marriott properties. There was no hard sell and we mutally agreed upon a selling price. I was encouraged to call at anytime for a status update or pricing changes. I faxed the contract and the fee for the listing and their services was $195. I received a call the next moring confriming receipt of my fax and payment. A copy of the listing will be sent to me.

Now the waiting game begins. In light of all the input my question has generated I will keep you informed of the process and progress.

Thanks to all of you for your input.

The Rest of the Story

Time to close the loop on this thread. We did recently sell our timeshare but not thru Tri West. Marriott (original seller) sold it for their asking price less a 40% commission. Little steep but it is SOLD! As for Tri West, we heard from them twice after paying the $200 fee. Both contacts were by mail with a copy of the listing they had prepared and and a letter explaining this listing was now included in their timeshare resales marketing book. We were never contacted about pricing/listing/changes/or updates concerning this listing.
Basically no followup at all.

I doubt I would use them again and for sure not to sell an East coast property. I discovered that West coast agencies sell West coast properties and East coast agencies sell East coast properties.

My thanks to all of you for your feedback when I was trying to figure out what to do.
