I was looking at the Mirage web site for ticket prices to see "Love" Cirque de Solei and noticed residents get 2 tickets for the price of one. Can anyone verify there is no catch or what proof they require? I presume they force you to pick up tickets at the theater with local ID.

They give the same deal to military and you are right about how to get tickets. Just show up and show your id.

It is common practice for Vegas shows to offer 2 for 1 tickets to local residents.

Just show up, show proof of your Nevada ID (Drivers License) and that's it, no catch at all, just have to be a local resident of Las Vegas.

The person who orders the tickets must pick them up and must show a Nevada Driver's License or non-driving ID at the time of pickup. They are pretty sticky about this.

The reason they do this for locals at less busy times is that they hope that locals will then tell all their visiting friends how much they liked the shows...

Many of our shows have some sort of locals discounts after they have been around for awhile. The best discount I've ever seen on a regular basis is one by South Point. Live in my community, and all showroom tickets, with the exception of benefits and NYE are buy one, get one, and most tickets have a starting price of $25. +/-. The stubs also generally provide for a free drink at any bar after the show.
