Hi,

I want to rent a 2 BR in Las Vegas, and I only need it for 2 days.

I waited till the 30 day limit, and I just checked this morning - there is availability. But for some reason, the web site won't let me "pay" with points! It gives me a $ price, which is fine - but no way to pay with points. If I increase the number of days to 3, using the points is fine.

I checked the 2011 member guide, nothing there about not being able to pay open season with points!

Is this something new? Is this just the reservation engine - would I be able to do this by calling? I don't think I have tried using points on open season before, but - that kind of sucks. Also mean I have a measly 1400 points remaining for the year!

Points use requires a minimum 3 night stay. An added feature a few years back.

When you try to use points during the O/S period, your attempted reservation is actually a club reservation for which the minimum stay is 3N. The club-reservation window does not stop at the 30-day mark, but continues to run until the day B4 check-in. Thus, a point reservation is still subject to "club" rules.
