Is this the time of year that is considered "Jersey Week"?
Jersey Week is the week of Election Day, so first or second week of November. The New Jersey teachers’ convention closes schools for two or three days that week, so many families head to WDW for those days or the entire week.

Some school districts in other part of the country have breaks in October; the first weekend of November is the Wine & Dine half marathon at WDW; the Food & Wine Festival is in full swing, and so are the Halloween parties at MK. Many reasons for “everybody” to be there!

We will be at OKW for two nights, then we move to Marriott's Cypress Harbour. I miss the days when I could get October through exchange at the Disney resorts. But this will be okay, too. Love CH.
Definitely make use of Disney Transportation (bus), it's free and will get you to any theme park or Disney Springs! I believe Cypress Harbor has a shuttle (possibly Mears) to WDW.

No shuttles at any of the Orlando Marriott timeshare properties. Unless you book something independently. Uber or Lyft is probably the best option if one doesn't have a car. Though a rental car is best.
