Has anyone been successful in redeeming the voucher for a future stay at a Hilton Hotel? The one you get for sitting through the pitch. I mean update.

We did one in Myrtle Beach. Got Hilton bucks, which worked and this voucher.
I was reading the fine print and it seems it is not Valid with most of the brands.

A call to the number only leaves you more confused.

Is the an actual Hilton Hotel? I think that's where it can be used.

Thanks!

Yes, I have been successful.. your correct, they only work at the named brand. So if the certificate is for Hilton, then it is only works there. I think you can request alternative brands like doubletree or embassy suites if you think of that in advance...

You have to declare what brand you want to use it at before you get the certificate. Once you do that they will print the certificate for that brand only. I used it at Hilton Waikoloa Village and had no problems. At that time they were offering $200 certificates.

I successfully redeemed one, and the other posters are correct -- it only applies to the specific brand listed.

If it says "Hilton", that can be a bit confusing, because while the entire company is Hilton, one of their many brands of hotels is also Hilton, and the voucher will only work at those, not Embassy Suites, Doubletree, Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, etc.

In my case, I knew the specific hotel I wanted to use it for (because I already had the reservation), so I was able to request the brand I wanted.

A couple of years ago when I was offered one of these certs, I also was asked what brand I wanted. I chose Doubletree since I was planning to stay at an expensive DT in Charleston. No problems using it.

I got a certificate for Embassy Suites for listening to the sales pitch.
I had to stay at Embassy Suites, pay with my own money, then send in the certificate for reimbursement of $100, plus hotel receipt.
Then play the waiting game, and hope the USPS delivered everything correctly. But it ended up working for me.

Have used voucher twice

Works fine. Best to plan ahead so that you know which brand you plan to use it with. My favorite brand is Hilton Garden Inn.

Yes this worked for us, actually got the money back quicker than expected (about 3 weeks). We used the voucher for a night at a Hampton Inn, our cert had several brands we could choose from in the Hilton family.
