Need to stay in a hotel or likewise for one night between resort checkin's. Going from North Shore to South Shore on Kauai. We just need a nice clean, inexpensive place between North & South on a Friday night. I know there was some discussion before on this sight but I can't find it. Are there any suggestions? I know nothing is cheap but we can not afford 5 star hotel room at this point during our stay

Ashton Islander on the Beach Napa'a is reasonably priced, centrally located. Great Happy Hour drinks poolside. This is right next to the Coconut Marketplace, near Kapa'a Pizza (?pasta), Shrimp Station, He Fat shave ice, Bubba' s.

See answer on your other thread. There is also a Marriott Courtyard in the same plaza. This used to be a Best Western, I believe.

We use VRBO.COM to get a night or two.

Also Garden Island Inn in Lihue works alright, around $100 per night

We really like the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort Hotel, which is next to Wyndham Kauai Beach Villas and only about 2 mi. north of the airport.

The OP is not soliciting a renal - they are asking for recommendations.

It's just a little challenging to make suggestions when you don't know the budget or the approximate timeframe. I'd be looking on hotwire or bidding on priceline as you can even get the Sheraton in Poipu for $140 sometimes.

I'm sorry - sometimes people take this kind of post as a solicitation for a rental. Thanks for offering help!

It's cool? We always got a shady vibe when we drive past.

It's very clean....run locally...reasonable price...and in a good location. Next time, stop in for a "tour". You should book in advance; they are quite busy.

My mistake DeniseM! After re-reading my post I can see how it looks. I just like looking up people's dates on hotwire/priceline to see what the deals are like (some vicarious living if you will).

I really appreciate all your help. Tuggers are the best!!
