Marriott - View from the Balcony

Why is this Marriott thread now showing up on the Vistana forum?

Why is this Marriott thread now showing up on the Vistana forum?
It looks like it must have been moved in error by a moderator. I know I reported another thread yesterday to be moved here. I don't know the process of moving threads, but perhaps a mod can select multiple threads at a time and accidentally selected this one at the same time to be moved.

Now that it's back in the Marriott forum, can it be made a sticky?

Although this is a Westin property, I am a Marriott owner and this Westin is the only property I've been to. I've always wanted to see a bear, but have never seen one in any of our MVC mountain resort vacations. We saw this guy from our balcony at the Westin Riverfront Villas in Avon. He came back two other nights, but played in the water more on our first night because weather was warmer.

I definitely accessed this thread via the MVC forum.
Odd. I should have posted a screen shot. When I made my post I did see the Vistana forum link at the bottom. It seems to be good now. For certain back in the Marriott forum.

Little gremlins in the server. It happens sometimes.

We’re here now! We’ve got a big group with 7 rooms. This is our third year in a row for fall break and the best weather yet. See you around!
We usually vacation at Crystal Shores in May…we decided that we wanted to try October for a change…my daughter..husband and grandson are staying in the villa next door thanks to room CO Martin….the weather has been fabulous…albeit a rain shower around 4-5 pm the last 2 days..the upcoming week has temps in the mid 80’s with low humidity…beautiful beach weather…we are having a wonderful time…Crystal Shores is our favorite MVC….enjoy your vacation.

Good to hear the weather has been good at Crystal Shores. We had good weather there last month. I can't say the same for the east coast. It wasn't that great at Ocean Pointe for us the week before last nor Oceana Palms earlier in September. When we were at Ocean Pointe there were a couple tropical systems off shore that made for lots of wind and more scattered rain. Oceana Palms was what we experience at Ocean Pointe many years ago. Every day around noon it would start to rain and wipe out the rest of the day. Now for the past several days a nor'easter, along with king tides, has done a lot of erosion damage to beaches up and down through the coast. Daytona doesn't look like there is much of a beach left.

We live in NJ,where they are experiencing a nor’easter today and tomorrow with high winds and heavy rain and expected beach erosion…i will be monitoring that situation very closely.

These storms/king tides have done a number on Hilton Head beaches. I'm not at a Marriott but the pic below is from nine days ago at the beach in Palmetto Dunes just north of the Leamington/Shipyard border. I don't know the history but Don and I have never seen the tide this high or the beach so shrunken here! Thank goodness the Army Corp of Engineers has started their 8-10year scheduled beach renourishment up at the north end and will be working here sometime during this offseason!
