RCI Suspended Eagle Village Tamiment

That would be nice for the owners, assuming there is actually a profit from sale of a million per unit after all the resorts debts are paid off. But somehow, I highly doubt it would be anywhere near that...
Unfortunately, I agree. Due to similar past financial mismanagement, I have a feeling that there will be quite a few hefty past bills that will be collected prior to what we will see. I'd keep my eye on taxes, and if they have been paid. We already know about the bills to MetEd. I can confirm, that Community Utilities (water) also has a hefty balance at the moment, growing by the day from interest. But those are both, in comparison, small to what the tax bill is.
 
Now that all of these financial/ operational issues are finally coming to light, I am hoping that criminal investigations involving those responsible whether employees and or board of directors or anyone else will be included. This type of situation went on for far too long with no obvious oversight at all.
 
Curious, why is only partial electric turned off? Anyone know?
Its not partial. Its the entire facility. All of phase 1 and phase 2. They work off the same transformer, and thats been uninstalled, with a bill that is now over 13k, and growing (interest).

Phase 3 works off individual meters. 2-3 of them were not high enough in past payments for disconnection. So they are, for the moment, still operational. That will probably change the next billing cycle.

Took me a while to get through these 45 pages of posts, and want to thank the many of you who have spearheaded this for other timeshare owners (like my now elderly parents).

I've de facto taken over managing many things for my parents, and i'm focused on this week trying to figure out what to do with their timeshare interest in EV.

I'm considering not paying the maintenance fee on their behalf this year based on everything that I'm reading. And looks like I shouldn't even bother engaging in the deed buyback program.

Any advice you all have for me on behalf of my parents? Anything I can do to help the cause?

Clearly there's some mismanagement going on here by someone.

As you most likely gather from reading the post, things are not good at EV. while we cannot say what for sure you should do, if my parents stilled owned the deed, (they gave it to me two years ago, unknown to them all the problems,) I personally would not pay the maintenance fees. If they send them to collections, just explain the nightmare that is going on there. I definitely would not do a deedback. That is what they want. Most likely so they can sell it and recoup any profit they would make on the sale.

Thanks for the update. This Goocher Clan is unethical. I look at it this way:
They are trying to play nice with the remaining 500 owners. There were at one point 3468 possible ownership intervals. They either want the owners to (1) pay to deedback, or (2) continue to pay Maintenance fees if the owner won't deedback to them. Is this TOWB offer true? Probably not. Can't trust them. The other places that went with that TOWB group weren't in the same disrepair. I researched it. Seems like this TOWB came out of nowhere when the consensus on this thread , just recently, was to not pay. Dangle a possible payout!
We owners are in the way. They do not want to pay to forclose on us. Better to scare us into deedbacks, or dupe us into more money. Don't pay a thing. Let them hang and have to come to us. They took our MFs and then closed down with false information. I can sit on this deed for years. They can not ask for MFs if the place is closed down. As it stands, every owner who is in good standing as of 2025, is in legal good standing. The Goochers are not in legal good standing. Even the "board" they brought in will probably not pay their MFs. Those poor saps probably don't know what they signed up for. So let's see this all play out in court. Contacting the AG today. I can sit on this until I die.

Same…..curious who AG is, so we can too! We have two good standing , we aren’t going to sell out either. Do you have a list of current board members? I’ve ask for it, but nada……

The Water Company and Electric Companies are probably filing liens on the Deed Records.

I was thinking today how sad it is that I won’t be able to visit Eagle Village this year.
Regardless of all the current issues that have occurred,the location and ambience were always so enjoyable.
Does anyone have any recommendations or knowledge of a similar location in the Pocono Mountains?

We went to Lake Harmony last month. We rented a house through airbb. It was very nice.
