We bought a Wyndham timeshare (deed) last November. Since we did not have much time to vacation, my family and I are vacationing now. But from the moment we got to our destination, the Wyndham people asked us to meet with someone that would help us make reservartions, "they will show you the easy way to reserve a place." However, they really tried to talk us into getting a vip membership.

Based on the postings I have read, this seems to be a waste of money. but what puzzeled me the most is that they also tryed to talk us out of the San Francisco deed, i.e. they wanted us to change our deed to Ocean Side, San Diego.

Can Anyone explain why they would do that?

Thanks,

Binphx

It's a sales tactic. They try to devalue what you have so that you want to purchase more.

I stopped going to these and have been a much happier owner every since.

Because when you turn in one deed for a deed at another location (an equity exchange), Wyndham requires that you buy more points at the new location.
