Anybody else have pending itineraries on Delta website? I have been getting msg for weeks that "System Not Available. Try again later." I can bring up my one pending Iter. No. by going to Freq Flyer site and sometimes can get the outgoing portion but can't get return trip. Like to check it frequently as they have changed flights or times several times already.
Long time before we take the trip and I have already emailed Delta but got no reply. Just curious if anybody else has noticed a problem.

I just went to Delta and had no problem checking my iterary for November. I just used the confirmation number and my name.

Maybe Delta just don't like your browser type or version. Perhaps the problem is with your browser's cache. Try using "tools" to delete your "temporary internet files" and "history." Then, I'd scan my registry for errors (w- Glary Registry Repair), reboot and scan for disk errors (chkdsk /f), and (for good measure) defrag the HD. ... When none of that works, call Delta's internet support.

flying Delta today

It was a mess flying out of Austin this morning. There were 6 check in kiosks away from the counter with one agent to assist and even after waiting and checking in and paying for checking in a bag, customers had to wait in another 45-60 minute line to check the bags. No one was expecting this kind of line at 5:45am on a Tuesday at a smaller airport. I got the feeling that Delta is having problems integrating both the computer systems and the employee gate/checkin procedures for Delta and Northwest.

reply from Delta, sort of

Finally got answer from my email to Delta support desk. Says to call and have my ticket revalidated baecause of a minor schedule change. They have changed it several times before and this never happened. Will call and see if it gets more complicated or less. Thanks.

DL flight change

lscott, the same thing happened to me. The reason I had to call Delta was because they had changed my terrific noontime flight from Palm Springs to Boston to 6:15 AM . I'll have to get up at 3 to get to the airport by 4 for that flight GRRRRRR. Does anyone think that will change within the next 3 months? The flight is on October 24th.

Update on our Delta Unavailable Itinerary question

My call to Delta as advised by email resulted in their "revalidating" our tickets and about 20 min later the complete itinerary was on website ok. So far. They changed the times and numbers of our orig flight several times and changes showed up on itinerary ok, until I noticed that a nonstop return flight had become available instead of the original changing planes at JFK, so I phoned them and got them to change us to the nonstop flight (no charge, because they had changed our original to arrive more than an hour later)That change is apparently what led to the incomplete itinerary until I called them again to revalidate. Or whatever. Live and learn.

Yes, they will probably change your schedule, if only by a few minutes, before you leave, so keep checking it.

Our Delta/NWA flights seem to change almost every week at this point. I've all but given up trying to pick a shedule with them and now realize I'm only buying a seat on a particular day. It's sort of like buying a ticket on Priceline. You might think you've reserved the perfect flight times but, a few weeks latter BAM! Delta/NWA has changed it to an ulgly schedule you'd never have booked if you had the choice.

At one point they had done a similar job on me by changing a noon flight to an early AM flight. A few weeks later, it was changed back to an afternoon flight but, now we have 3 hour layover.

They did a similar stunt with our flight to Boston last May. When I called them to see if there was anything else I could be moved to, there was limited choices even though there were seats available on more flights with more convenient flight times. I choose the best of what I was offered and even then it was changed yet again.

While I really don't enjoy doing business with Delta right now, I haven't found the others to be much, if any, better. My solution has been to try and find more drive to vacations and fewer vacations that we need to fly. It's getting to a point where it's looking like even a 2 day drive to a destination might be preferable to dealing with the airlines. In the past, when I've discussed that possibility with my wife, she's been against. This year appears to be the year where the airlines have beaten her down and she's starting to think along the same lines. It's less expensive and easier than dealing with all the flight schedule changes, delays, cancelations and extra fee's the airlines are charging. In short, they're almost to the point where they're to expensive and to unreliable to count on to use for travel.

Delta IT

As with any "merger", while there is a lot of rhetoric, the buyer sticks with their own systems. :wall: Delta's IT systems are light years behind what NWA had. It is going to be tough for a while. NWA users are going to have to lower their IT expectations with Delta. :annoyed:

Cheers,

Paul

Delta changes

We have had the same problems. One suggestion I have is to bring up delta's or NWA's website when calling. If they offer you a flight you don't like, counter with one you see available. You do not have to accept their offer. It the agent is not willing to put you on the flight you want, just say you will not accept the offer, hang up, and call back until you get an agent that will do it. Works for us.
It they give you some excuse about no seats being available for the booking class you booked, counter with the times not being acceptable, nonstop to multiple stops now, something.
I called Delta 3 times before I found an agent willing to call a NWA agent to get us on the flight I wanted.

They've done it again

Delta itinerary "system not available" again this morning. I looked up available flights and it looks as if they have changed flight numbers and changed times by just a few minutes of the ones I assume we should be on. Appears that we will have to phone every time to be revalidated. They used to change itinerary so we could see it on website and also send a msg. Our flight is not until Oct so will let it ride for awhile.
