Need information on MyNetworkResorts

I have successfully rented some of my units through them; I haven't tried to sell.

Never dealt with them but many people have posted that they were sucessful with them. It best to place a "for sale" ad on several different websites and also set up a free email address ( like a gmail.com or yahoo.com) to deal with the spam you will get when you place a for sale ad.

Edited to add: are you asking about MyNetworkResorts or My resort network?

thanks for the post guys, I am new to TUG and owned a timeshare for about 3 years now. Just dont use enough to keep so trying to get rid of it. Been scammed before with the people that ask for money up front ot sale, all information is helpful. Thanks.

I have more luck with Redweek, TUG, and Craigslist.

Yes...

Anyone had success selling their week on here?

I have sold three separate, unrelated timeshare weeks on MRN.com in about the past three years. I would also add that I have the good fortune not to ever have been contacted by spammers or scammers as a result of ads placed on MRN. I can't say the same for Craigslist (where ads are absolutely free) or RedWeek (where only paid RedWeek members can even respond to posted ads at all). Go figure...

We are a preferred broker for that site and they refer clients to us quite often. The site itself is dominated by broker ads, so this is a good indication there is some quality traffic there. You may find it to be a good option for you to get exposure for your property. As with any marketing site, price will be the most important factor. Plus, you may need to price a little below what brokers are advertising similar properties- as many buyers would prefer buying from a broker than an individual if you price at the same level.

Good luck!

whats the best way to see what brokers and others are listing similar properties to mine at?

An additional $0.02 worth...

Just look at different websites, www.myresortnetwork.com, www.redweek.com Look at ebay and see if any have sold in the recent past. Between the three it should give you a pretty good idea.

Good, sound advice. However, make sure you compare "apples to apples" and not "apples to oranges". Different seasons have different levels of demand and value almost anywhere. "Fixed" week vs. "floating" week makes an enormous difference in some locations as well. Different sized units factor in too.

My point is don't too loosely define "similar properties" when attempting to ascertain the market value of your particular week...

I actually purchased my resale MMO from a seller on myresortnetwork, so I guess it worked for me. I had no issues, and the entire process was smooth as silk.

I used myresortnetwork.com to rent my unit, for the first time. I always used redweek.com before, had good luck with them (rented 3 weeks, bought 1 resale), but I decided to try myresortnetwork and placed a rent ad there.
I had more inquiries than redweek.com, but redweek.com inquiries were more serious, and the rent went through with a person from redweek.com last week.
