Marriott Trading advise

I apologize if this has been discussed here before.

I am a new owner (Marriott Shadow Ridge), Platinum, Lock-off, just got into the Marriott system. Resale. Came with Dec 19-26th, 2009 reservation (which I can not use). I have several starwood timeshares before this.

My question is, should I deposit this as 1 deposit or 2 deposits into II? The goal would be to get atleast a 2 bedroom unit during Marriott priority.

If you need a two bedroom then I would deposit it as a two bedroom.
 
I generally agree with the above post- unless you are looking for off-season weeks or looking to trade last minute during Flexchange. For example, if you are looking for a nice 2BR in Hilton Head over the winter (and there are many posts by people who love it there then) then you likely will do well splitting before depositing. If you want prime 2BR weeks, your easiest exchanges come when you are offering something comparable.

If you want to trade into a 2BR unit during a premium time period, then you should deposit the entire 2BR. With a 2BR week 51 you will have very good trading value. A week 51 will also extend your ability to find a trade in the future out til the end of 2011. During flexchange, as mentioned above, however, you can get two great units. :D
