I have access to two weeks from the same resort in RCI system. The one that expires in April 2010 sees a total of 81K resorts, whereas the other that expires exactly a year later sees a total of 125K resorts. Would you say this week has high, medium, or low trading power?

Thanks!

I would say the week that expires in April of 2011 is a mediocre trader. I can see about that same number of weeks with my mediocre trader that expires March of 2011.

Your week that expires 2010 is trading like my blue weeks, unfortunately, :( which is lowest of the low. If anyone has poorer trading power than my blue weeks, I would be surprised.

I suspect this has more to do with a shorter exchange window than with overall trade power. Rather than compare totals, pick a month for which both resorts are eligible (say, March 2010) and compare just that month's total.

Thanks for the responses!!! If I choose a particular month that both weeks are eligible, they trade about the same. My question is for the week that expires in April 2011, Does 125K total indicate a medium or low trading power? I know it can't be a tiger trader :) Here is the breakdown:

I won't call mine a tiger trader, but mine apparently pulls more than yours.

Brian, that sure makes sense, since my blue weeks expire in fall of 2011, so my trading window is much longer. You are so right!

My blue weeks see only 2,258 for July 2010. That is not great trading power, compared to my red weeks, which see over 6,000. My mediocre trader sees 4,141. My pink week sees 3,006. It's going into PFD.

I believe there are fewer trading power levels than we thought, just by looking at the numbers of weeks people could see and posted back in November.

What about VEP? A strong trader with a very high VEP ought to see fewer units than an equally strong trader with a mid-level VEP, simply because there are fewer resorts in RCI that are considered good enough to match a very-high VEP deposit.

Is that what you all are seeing?

I think this is right. It looks like there might be 3-4 different levels. Maybe as many as six. It is certainly not fine-grained.

VEP does make a difference as does checking from time to time. But, I don't think it matters very much unlessy your VEP is very very high. Playing around with a mid and low VEP tiger, I can't find any specific weeks that the low one sees that the mid one doesn't, even though I can see the counts are different.

I also sometimes see the number of units "ping pong" back and forth when new inventory is being approved, I suspect depending on which back-end server I'm talking to.
