Hi all,

Can someone please advise on the best way to get from the airport to our resort at Club Regina? We've thought about renting a car but are not sure from some the posts we've read elsewhere whether this is a a good option in mexico. We'd like to pick up a few things at walmart/costco but otherwise, probably will be taking just a few day trips to cabo etc. so not sure a car is worthwhile. Can we shuttle to walmart/costco to pick up these things or do some of the airport taxi services stop to allow time for this on the way to the resort? Any advice would be appreciated!

We stayed at Club Regina and found a car to be a necessity. You might want to try calling the club to ask about shuttle availability, but I don't remember any type of regularly scheduled ones. I thought you could get a cab at the hotel, but they weren't cheap. Contacting the hotel may get you some prices.

The airport shuttles I remember were vans with the luggage piled on the roof. And tied down - I did notice that. mostly anyways. Since they are shared, I would be surprised if they stopped for shopping.

Hopefully, someone else can provide more info. Have a good time.

That was also our experience when we stayed there. If you take the toll road from the airport it comes out to the main highway very close to the entrance to Club Regina.

Club Regina is about halfway down the corridor. You can prebook a shuttle with Transcabo online. You do not have to pay for it until you get there, as long as you phone ahead. I have been using this service for more than 5 years, at least 3 times a year. The cost all the way to Cabo is $43 pp roundtrip. It may be less to the Regina. My shuttle has stopped there on the way. I am always the last drop, as I live at the last stop on the baja. Be careful not to let the timeshare bandits get you as you come out of customs. You will NOT meet your transcabo agent until you are completely out of the building. Anyone trying to get you to the counter is a salesperson. There is one shuttle service right at the exit door. I think they may be a couple of $$ cheaper, but i trust Transcabo. Costco and Walmart are much closer to Cabo than your location. There are public buses (with many stops) all along the corridor, and the cost is minimal. Shuttles do not stop for anyone to grocery shop. They have full vans, stopping at many resorts, and in all this time I have never seen luggage piled on top of a shuttle van. Taxis are pretty pricey from Cabo to resorts along the corridor. Many of the resorts run daily shuttles back and forth to Cabo. Be aware of the last shuttle back to your hotel. Hope this helps...I'm going in 13 days! :whoopie:
