Which one of the three would you reccomment on the Big Island.

We will be flying into KOA (Kona) in late March with our family,
2 kids, (3 & 15 months)
inlaws, and sister inlaw. We wouldn't be dissappointed if we ddin't get a tee times, like pool time, fishing, beach time, island tour, we would probably have early evenings cause we have little ones. like light hiking. grocieries, car rentals. etc.

any tips would be greatly appreciated.

All of the resorts are right next to each other. You'll see lots of thread about the differences between the Bay club and HGVC Waikoloa.

KIngs land is just opened and is under heavy construction. But most reports say that it is nice.

The real question is what is available? How is the sleeping for 7 people ( your family and you 3 inlaws) ? How many points will each place cost you? How much do you want and/or need access to the hotel's pools?

Summary of 3 resorts

Bay Club
cons - older units, not as top of the line finishing, in need of refurb, no access to Hilton Waikoloa pools
pros - largest of all units, easiest to obtain, 1 BR, 2 BRs and 2 BR+ units

HGVC Waikoloa
cons - all 2 BR only, std 2 BR go quickly leaving Plus and Premier units that require more points, which are only a view of the golf course NOT the ocean
pros - newer upgrade units

HGVC Kingsland
cons - 50% more points require so same category of unit, only plus and premium units, no standard units
pros - very new, very nice finishings, 1 & 2 BR sizes

That's a very good synopsis of the 3 HGVC properties in Waikoloa. :)

Thanks :whoopie:

That just leaves it to each person/party to decide what is MORE important to them.

We just got back from the Big Island, and stayed at the newer Waikola, it was very nice. We were staying on our VIP trial package, even though we just recently bought in Las Vegas Resale.

I agree with what is listed here, if you can get into Waikola, it is very nice, not sure if you will have enough room, it's a two bedroom, but I think they say you can sleep six.

The New Kings Land, doesn't have enough completed building yet. We toured them, and we loved them, They will have 3 bedroom units, maybe not any yet, but they will. They are the nicest Hilton prop. I've seen.

We liked them so much we did something we did think we would do or planned on doing we bought direct for the developer. We got a good deal, don't need to get into all that in this post, but I new about resale, and I was happy with what we got...

Enjoy Hawaii....
