Do both of these Walmarts carry groceries, including fresh meat and vegetables?

TIA

Yes - they are Super Centers.

The answer is yes, but you are aware that it is Mexican-style food, meat and veggies from Mexico, perhaps in cuts you aren't used to, and Mexican bakery items. I love Mexican bakery items, they aren't as sweet as ours.

I know that is simplistic to even mention, but some people (mistakenly) think that it will be "just like home," and, of course, it isn't.

The food is good quality, but perhaps not exactly what you are used to. I would suggest if you use certain spices that you bring them with you in case you can't find the equivalent in the stores. This is especially true for blends.

You'll generally be able to guess at packaged items, because virtually every packaged item (canned, boxed, etc) has a picture on the label of what it is.

We LOVE the Cancun Walmart - it's a very interesting experience to go and shop. It's worth the trip just to gander at the produce...

Very helpful, thanks all.

We have done Costco in the past but for just 3 weeks, we didn't want to have to buy Costco-size quantities.

Playa

In Playa we use Commercial Mexicana (Mega). It is closer to 5th avenue and is very clean and a little cheaper than Walmart. It is good to brush up on your metric weights. Luncheon meats etc. are in kilos not pounds.

In Playa, Chedraui is another option. It's right off Avenida Juarez and up against 307 (main north-south highway down this part of the Yucatan).

3 best are probably:
Walmart
Mega
Chedraui

If you can't find it at these, then you must be looking for either something very American or something very Mexican that wouldn't show up in any of these. However, I don't see that happening.
