Is it possible to add points of two Hyatt 1,300 weeks (2,600 points) to use in a higher point (platinum) week?

And there is the calendar to consider--the points must appear in your account relatively simultaneously or the reservation window system won't work for you.

Kal explains it all on his website. It takes some homework, but I believe the Hyatt system is at the top of the industry.

Full disclosure--I did work for them years ago and have worked for many companies in the past. It is that knowledge that leads me to comment on Hyatt's superiority.

As stated above, the simple answer is yes, but....

If both sets of points are in CUP and relatively close in the calendar, then no problem.

If one set or the other is in LCUP, then the LCUP 60 day reservation window applies.

If you are thinking of using 2 years worth of points from a single ownership week, that's doable, but could be difficult. One set of points would be in CUP, but the other set of points would either be in LCUP, or have to be borrowed. In either case, the 60 day reservation window would apply.

The key to being able to "co-mingle" points is that the name on the deeds on each week must be exactly the same so that you will have one HVC account. If the name is the same, you will have one account with two weeks - if not you have two accounts with one week.
