Elite benefits -- can you remind me?

I am looking at the sticky with the various levels of elite and the benefits. I thought some place it said that they waive your SVN fees if you own more than 2-3 units or something? It is not in the chart that I am looking at right now.

Can someone tell me what fees are waived at the 4* and 5* levels? I got all my MF bills and every one of them is asking me to pay the SVN fees...

It is the $99 SO-SP conversion fee that is waived.

The SVN fee is owed if applicable.
 
I don't believe there is any elite level benefit that addresses this. You pay the primary fee for your first SVN ownership week (typically $109), and then a secondary fee ($33) for the second SVN week. After that, you should not be billed for additional weeks. I think this may even be spelled out on the SVN documents you signed. Maybe because you made purchases in 2008, your fees are screwed up. A simple call to SVN admin (407) 903-4651 will take care of this for you.

2 fees are better then 4 or 5 - it does represent a savings....
 
I think the waving of the SNV membership fee was one of the benefits of 4- and 5-star elite when Starwood first rolled out the Elite program. I seem to recall that the benefit was removed some time ago, but owners that were already getting the benefit got grandfathered in. We are 5-star elite and we haven't been charged the SVN membership fee on any of our properties.
 
But the benifit that you only pay full for the first and pay 33 for the second week you own and no SVN fees for every week after that is still in effect???
 
I went through my old papers and found the original 5-star elite brochure. It says that "As and SVN Elite member with Five Star Status, the annual $129 Starwood vacation Network fee is waived ....."

My point was that the fee structure is the same for both elite-level and non-elite level owners. You could own three or more small unit, off-season, or EOY weeks and not qualify for even 3* Elite, and you would still only pay the $109 for the first week, $33 for the second week, and nothing further for the additional weeks. (Hawaii resorts pay 4% sales tax on fees). This is clearly spelled out on the SVN Fees document.

I don't pay any SVN fee for my weeks in Hawaii.

I must have missed that benefit as well. Too bad. $142 is still $.

I had the same problem a couple of years ago and the $33 was removed from all but one with a simple phone call. (The SVO fee for extra unit still appears as a line item on my other invoices but the balance is 0.00) Are the OA's vying for this? I thought it was a strictly SVO fee or do the OAs get a cut for collecting it? Any board members or others in the know out there? If it is strictly SVO why would the person add it to all? OH WAIT, did I just actually ask that?

yes. i got charged the $99 and then the $33 and none of my other properties has the svn fee on the bill.
