Continental Hawaii Sale! from $199 one way from East Coast

Thanks for the link!

Thanks for the link! I just purchased 2 tix to Hawaii in April using the link. It was $428 with tax from LAX. Sure beats the $600 that is being quoted on kayak.com.

wow ... these prices are very reasonable. I only wish I had more vacation time!!!

I could only come up with those prices if the trip took place in January-February. By March and onwards, it's more around $800 pp rt.

Keep An Eye On These Rates...They May Fall Even More!

If the economy remains stuck in low gear or gets worse, these rates will drop some more, and probably soon, in an effort to get vacationers to plan their summer vacations.
Wish I could take advantage.
Just today there was a fare of $498.00 still available from Newark (EWR)
departing on a Saturday (2-21-09) and returning on a Saturday, 3-7-09.

If you can wait.....wait!

I got a similar fare from United/American for 2/22/09 to 03/09/09 at $545.00 Buffalo to Honolulu. I booked it right before Christmas, and now there appears to be more and more flights by various carriers turning up at low $600s and under. Originally I had planned to fly direct to Maui, and those prices have come down since I booked, but I don't mind flying into HNL since we added a couple days to our trip so we can see Pearl Harbor and Waikiki Beach etc.

Do the prices on interisland flights ever fluctuate?

That's a good question. I'd like to know that, too. I have a feeling the price is fairly stable since lower prices are not so much an inducement to travel, whereas price is a consideration for flights from the mainland. Once you're in the islands, and need to make an inter-island hop, you've pretty much set your mind that you're going, whatever the price.

There used to be price-wars when Aloha was still in business - we'll just have to wait and see if the economy and depressed travel to Hawaii brings prices down or not...
