Has anybody had any luck selling their TS on TUG Classifieds? I am asking unbeatable prices on my week 12, Hilton Head 2BR Gold Crown and My 1BR Silver Crown in Kauai and have not even gotten a nibble.

Unfortunately, we all know tooooo much to be your best customer.

I have always had great luck renting and selling on www.redweek.com - you have an informed consumer who knows about TSing but is not AS educated as the average TUGger.... which is a GOOD thing :D There is a small fee but it is worth it as u generally get inquires from people truly interested.

Ancient History.

In 2003, via TUG classified ad, we sold the resale timeshare we bought the previous year -- sold it for the same price we paid for it.

That was so long ago & conditions have changed so much that our experience back then means nothing about selling a timeshare today.

So it goes.

Remember that we spend all of our time tracking sales on EBay, comparing notes and looking for the latest low price. With prices in a nosedive your asking price may not be the deal it would have been even 6 months ago.

I think the only way to sell here on TUG is for a very low price. We're too smart.

I'm giving up on the thought of selling my timeshare with the high fees - hopeless right now. I'm keeping it and enjoying it.

Week 12 on Hilton Head, you will have to pay to take if off your hands. Weeks 25 thru 34 is a different story.

Yes, I sold a summer fixed (July) Cape Cod week last year on the TUG2 website. It took about 1 month to sell, although, I took a 60% loss. I hated to let it go for such a low price (the buyer got an awesome deal), we had owned it for 23 years and used it yearly, however, it was time to unload it. We feel we got our $$$ worth after 23 years.
