Has anyone stayed here in this type of suite? Is it a 1 BR with 2 Studio units attached? or what is it?

I would appreciate any information on these units.

Thanks

The plus units are upper or top level floor units.

We own a standard 2 bedroom unit at this resort and toured the 3 bedroom and they are considerably nicer than the standard 2 bedroom units. Much nicer view, nicer amenities, and it's not set up like a standard 2 bedroom unit with an extra studio attached. Even though we own a standard 2 bedroom unit, we'll probably start trying to use our points during Club season to reserve one of the two or three bedroom penthouse units instead. It will take a little working around with points but it can be done.

We had been interested in upgrading but the salesman refused to talk upgrade and only wanted to sell us additional points on top of what we already had. We had no interest in owning an additional 9,600 points in addition to the 7,000 points we currently own. We didn't need another week of timeshare (he knew we already owned 7 weeks) and I certainly wasn't going to pay developer pricing on that. Instead we'll eventually look into a resale unit at some point in the future, either to get us enough points to reserve in Club season every year or add to our ownership and find creative way to use our points.

Or simply make a reservation for less than 7 days. That is the beauty of HGVC -- you don't need to stick to the standard 1-week vacation. IMO, 3-4 or maybe 5 days is about right for a Vegas vacation.

Knock off two of those weekend nights, and you can stay in the 3BR pentouse for 5760 points during platinum season, instead of 9600 points for the full week. Or visit during Gold season, and the full week is 7000 points.

We don't do Vegas like most others. We really prefer to be there for the full week. To us, Vegas is a place to relax, unwind, take in a show or two, eat at a few nice restaurants and see the sights. We gamble very little and drink even less.

I stayed in a 3 BR Plus unit last week. We were on the 38th floor of Tower 2. The top 8 floors are 3BR in Tower 2. Increibly nice and well worth the extra points. Had a view to the north and west of Stratosphere and Red Rock Canyon. The views on the front are now obstructed by high rise condos so your best view is on the back side of tower 2 or back side of tower 1 if you want to overlook the pool.
