I received a mailing a few months ago from II that said I would receive an a/c if I deposit my May 2009 Aruba Surf Club week. However, I have to deposit the entire 2 BR unit and can't lockoff any portion.

I see a few posts from people who have received an a/c for depositing their 1 BR Aruba SC. How did that happen? Did they allow you to only deposit the 1 BR portion? (I didn't think the surfclub had any 1 bedroom units)

People have been locking off and just depositing the 1 BR portion. They have been offering AC's for either the 1BR or the 2BR (full unit) deposit.

Every time I have deposited Surf Club 1 bdr I have received an AC. We also have received those offers in the mail that you have to deposit the entire unit (but we always lock off).

You can check online if you will receive an AC for the 1 bdr deposit. Or just call II.

I called them to double check because I got the same mailing you did. Also I think if you look on Interval's site as though you are depositing a 1 bedroom by making up a reservation number (I found the directions on here somewhere) it show AC available. This is all new for me too because we use Aruba most of the time.

If they are offering for a week you do not have it might be worth it to rebook and pay a fee for the weeks they are looking for.

Good Luck.

They are trying to 'entice' you to deposit the whole unit....but you will get the AC for for the 1BR
