Can anyone get online at RCI this morning?

It is 8 am eastern, Sunday morning and the RCI website is down, or at least I can't get on. Is this part of the Saturday routine?

Thanks,

Diane

I have been trying unsuccessfully to get on since 4 am. And, no, this isn't part of the normal weekly maintenance routine.

This is part of the weekly Saturday night into Sunday morning maintenance of RCI. I have never been able to get in on Sunday morning, either. Give it another hour or so. The last time I got this message, I spoke a guide at RCI who assured me that it was. **shrug** With RCI, who knows. Their website is antiquated.

No joy on RCI here and they don't show the weekly notice about Sat night-Sun morning, like they usually do.

I first tried at 1 am cst and the weekly maint notice was still on--it was off at 1:30 am cst but I have not been able to log into my weeks account despite multiple attemps. Dawn

7:15am Phoenix time and I get this message:

Due to internal error, the system is unavailable.

For internal use only: Exception in loginWeeksSystem::WeeksAdapter RSUO004 has The Host Communication Subsystem cancelled a transaction request because the session was disconnected from the host. The transaction failed with no message. : Transaction=EVS1Adapter.Transactions:MISCOPYBOOK-Rsuo004 Error ID = ( 800405a1 / 0 )

Still getting this error message:

Due to internal error, the system is unavailable.

RCI

I believe last Saturday(Easter weekend), the RCI site was closed down from Saturday evening til Sunday nite (9 PM).

It's 8:30am Pacific time and I am getting the same message. I have never had this problem on Sunday morning before.

I just called them and they said they are down with no estimated time of being up again. :annoyed:

Did they also tell you that they don't give a good #$%^&^%$ when, or if, they get back up. They have your membership fee and your deposit, and if you aren't able to make an exchange, they'll gladly rent out your week, as is their legal right. Does it say anywhere in the membership agreement that the website has to work? You can always call and be insulted in some foreign language by someone who knows far less about exchanging than you do.

Boy, you are a little hostile... :hysterical:

THey still have the blurb up saying the website is unavailable, but I was just able to get in. All my confirmed exchanges and my ongoing search are still okay.

Yes, that would be accurate.

I've been an RCI customer since 01 and have made over 80exchanges(over 10K in fees). During that time, fees have gone steadily upward, quality of service has gone down, and availability of good exchanges has dwindled alarmingly.

Almost all my trading is done online, but there are times when I just can't avoid calling. Is it too much to ask that the phone people be polite, knowledgeable, and can speak my language? My language is exotic middle American English.

How many websites that you visit shut down EVERY week for "maintenance"? And then whatever is done results in more downtime: maintenance on the maintenance?

You're wondering why I'm still exchanging with RCI? It's still the best for where and when we want to travel; just not nearly as good as the "good old days"!
