I just put a 2 bedroom unit on hold as an exchange through RCI at the HGVC at SeaWorld in Orlando and was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on this resort? We have actually stayed at quite a few resorts in the Orlando area that we loved & are hoping that this resort will be as nice? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I have unitl tomorrow to cancel, although I am pretty confident that we will be happy with this, I am just trying to get some input from some people that may have stayed here & can give me their oppinions!

Thanks in advance to everyone! :hi:

H. G. V. C. Sea World Is Outstanding.

We could scarcely believe our good fortune in getting a 3BR exchange reservation into HGVC Sea World using as trade bait our standard-grade 2BR timeshare in a far-off foreign land overseas.

We were at HGVC Sea World in September 2005 -- had a wonderful time. Details are in the TUG Resort Reviews section.

It's a great property. Since you can't access the reviews, search for comments in this section.

We own there, and stayed for the first time last October. The property was great -- large units, nice kitchens, etc. The pools were very nice -- two large pools at the main pool complex, and another good-sized pool near some of the buildings further away. It has a good pool-side restaurant / bar and a nice convenience store as well.

There are tons of organized activities for all ages. Check out the "Grand Scapes Activities" link from the resort web page. You can also check out pics, etc. from that page.

IMO, this is one of the better resorts in Orlando. I think you will be pleased with your exchange.

I have an opportunity to purchase a 2br gold season there - i would be new to HGVC - it would also come with 5,000 points - for a MF of $843 and price of $7600 - is this reasonable? Also, if i converted the points to HH - is 115,000 HH points worth the MF?
Also - is it a desireable trade?

As for Orlando, I visit there alot, so purchasing there wouldn't be an issue - willl probably be there in December.
Thanks

That's about $1.52 per point, not a bad ratio for HGVC. But converting your HGVC points to HH's is not really cost-effective... better to view your HH Silver status as a separate matter, for which you might augment with points left-over from their intended use... for stays at HGVC properties.

Also, it matters not what, where or when your Hilton unit is for "trading" purposes. "Points are points," meaning your points have the same "power" as everyone else's in the Hilton system and you can use them at will for any HGVC property [or] for any RCI property that's /available/... as determined by Hilton's HGVC computers, which is the key here.

Its up to you how you use your points. This flexibility is the great advantage of this system. But high-demand Hilton properties may require reservations as early as 9-months out, and high-demand RCI properties as more than one year out. But in over-built areas, like Orlando, you can often find reservations within the 30-day "open-season" (discount) period.

I've seen 5000 points for sale closer to $1/point.

It's 125,000 HH points, which is only 3 nights at a 5* hotel. Not worth the MF, in my opinion.
