I've been going to PGA Village with three other guys for the last 5 years for a golf getaway. This time I finally got around to checking out the Sheraton timeshares there. We've been staying in a two bedroom condo that has two beds in each room - very comfortable for four guys. The golf is spectacular and the package deals are very, very cheap. I have to imagine that almost all of the prospects are people there on golf packages, which, considering the low price, must make sales very difficult.
The timeshares are beautiful. But a big problem is that while the regular two bedroom has one king in the master bedroom and two doubles in the second bedroom, the lockoff only has one bed in each room. Well, you might say, what about families, and therein lies the problem. There is pretty much NOTHING to do for kids here! If you don't mind travelling 45 minutes to an hour, you can find something but it seems like a very boring vacation for a family. And in terms of a golf vacation, very few people I know want to go away for a week just to golf.
Yes, they were beautiful but it didn't seem like one of the better thought out projects. Then again, for all I know, it could be very successful for Sarwood!
