SVO Presentation

Look like Arubra is off the list. A new resort in Westin Kierland Greenway and Puerto Los Cabos (not sure where that is).

What are you guys looking at? Can someone cut and paste perhaps? K

300 NEW HARBORSIDE UNITS in 2008?

I am feeling uninformed and like I have missed something. I knew about Harborside phases 1 and 2 which are both completed. I had no idea that they are starting to build 300 new units starting this year. Can someone please point me to more information about this as I had no idea? I must have not paid attention to something somewhere!

Ah! Thank you. Sheraton Poipu is approved? We need to find out where this is going to be. There must be a site already if it says "owned and approved," right?

And an add on at Kierland too. Hmmmmm. K

So they are calling our WKORV-FN

WKORV III

Interesting document, thanks for posting!

Previous reports on this prop have indicated that it would developed on part of the existing Sheraton Poipu hotel, specifically in the area of the tennis courts and parking lot.

OK cool, so that begs the next question, who has the resort map for the current Sheraton Poipu???

Unfortunately, this indicates that the TS's will be across the street from the beach - correct? :(

When we were at Harborside last month, we heard from a sales guy that phase 3 will be on the site of the Hurricane Hole Shopping Plaza, which Kertzner bought last year. They said nothing had been officially announced, but that's what they are expecting and hoping for. He said they would be 3 and 4 bedrooms, which would be a first for SVN. No idea how many StarOptions it would take to reserve that bad boy.

I had trouble figuring it out, too! Click on grgs' link. On the left, click on Presentations. Then scroll down to Timeshare Overview.

i did not see anything about westin kierland greenway. i will be there in 3 weeks and i will find out more info.

If you down load the pdf file - the second link posted above, there is a financial report and a list of new resorts/constructions with pictures.

Funny (Freudian) Typo on the Agenda page.
Conclusions is spelled as Conslusions - very close to Collusions
HEY STARWOOD! PowerPoint does have a spell-check feature

There is a picture toward the end of the "future properties" and the picture of the Kierland is on it with that name. No description or anything. 4 new properties are listed including the Sheraton Poipu and 2 Mexico ones.

Not on the slide presentation that I downloaded "SVO Timeshare Overview"
slide 26 - New Resorts
slide 27 - Growth at Ex Resorts
slide 28 - Projects under Dev
slide 29 - Future Development (only has WKORV III and Poipu)

are we looking at the same slide set?

Interesting! It was there yesterday on slide 29. There were four properties listed:

WKORV III, Poipu, Westin Kierland Greenway, Puerto Los Cabos (St. Regis). The last two are no longer there. I can't attach a copy of the file from yesterday as it's too big. If you want it, please send me a PM with your e-mail address, and I'll send it to you.

The 2nd link is giving a 'page not found' error - are they onto us?
Did anyone save this pdf - the "Timeshare Overview" does not state the same info.

I saved it, figuring that they would delete it or alter it. After all, it was dated today and maybe they made some changes before it was presented.

Nice! I can't see it either anymore but I did see it yesterday.

Here is one interesting observation: they listed a sgnificant drop in TS sales in 2007 but then went on to explain that it was because of the almost sold out status of WKORV-N.

From what I remember about analyst comments following the poor performance of Starwood in the latest round of financials, they said the drop in sales is because people are opting to buy less expensive (EOY) contracts and generally TS sales are down in the industry due to the economy.

In this slideshow, they made it sound like there was just a lack of inventory (at WKORV-N, although I know they are selling a bunch of other locations too so it's not like people don't have an option to buy at WPORV or Lagunamar or Desert Willow, etc) and therefore their sales were down 20%.

The whole slideshow painted a very rosy picture. Said owner satisfaction was the highest ever, etc.

Congrats for saving it. I would love to reread it more carefully.
