Mexican Fraudsters busted

Interesting that they used the picture of the women's condo that fought again Westgate in Orlando in that picture. I just happened to recognize it from when there was a discussion here on TUG about it, many years ago.

I can't get search to work to find me the thread right now, but I swear I'm not making it up, LOL!

Fast forward 9 years to 2026. David Segal is deceased, and that 83 year old woman would now be 92 (assuming she is still alive).

Does anyone have an update as to what was the final resolution of this case was (if any) ?

I think the photo is real. This is Westgate so it may not surprise anyone that they misrepresented to Orange County commissioners that they owned 100% of the land to obtain building approvals. They then damaged the widow’s condo during demolition (maybe intentionally), and built a seven story tower just feet from her condo (the commissioners rescinded approval for a second tower after finding out Westgate misrepresented). No wonder people hate Westgate.

I am aware it isn't AI, this story was before AI revolutionized fake news. I just never remember seeing that photo of the little red roofed condo sitting in front of the completed tower at Westgate Lakes. The only photo I recall was one of the framed and incomplete gray structure behind it. That said, AI also confirmed it was real :)
