Okay, just received this from another person....what the heck is this? We don't have a concierge team to help with planning and have paid them a lot money for over 20 years....where would the inventory come from for this?

From the FB video they are saying that the people who sign up get:

- 25% off all bookings in HGV
- $600 in room credits each year
- $2,000 in savings for cars, cruises, tours, etc.
- ability to book exclusive events
- concierge team to help with planning.....

Interesting. Read this in the Terms & Conditions...might be inventory that is not being used.

HGV WhereNEXT is a flexible pre-paid travel and benefit membership program providing access to travel and entertainment and other related services or discount features. Starting at $99/month, stay in select Hilton Grand Vacations (“HGV”) resorts at 25% off standard rates and earn more travel benefits. WhereNEXT Stay Discount valid on select HGV accommodations only and not applicable to any on-site services, taxes, fees, or charges, including resort or parking fees. Accommodations are subject to availability. Minimum-night stays, advance purchase terms, deposit requirements, and cancellation restrictions vary by property. HGV Stay Discount may not be combined with other promotions, offers, or discounts including Hilton Honors™ rate. WhereNEXT includes additional travel benefits, services, and discount features. For full Terms of Use, click here

HGV WhereNEXT is offered by Great Vacation Destinations Inc., a Florida corporation and a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilton Grand Vacations.

arriva is the company that owns redweek....

Certain fulfillment aspects of the HGV WhereNEXT program are provided by Arrivia Inc. located at 15147 N. Scottsdale Rd. Suite 210, Scottsdale, AZ 85254 (“Arrivia”).

interesting....that brings up more questions...like HGV partnering with Redweek.....

Without looking into this, I’d assume 25%off the Hilton hotels rack rate, and it would be limited to properties they have a lot of excess inventory in?

they are a much larger company in the travel world vs just owning redweek...but who knows!

Probably the same unsold inventory that is dumped into Hilton....I hope.

Well, there’s a 7-day free trail…who among us will be the tester 😀
of course they limit the trial period features....

Interesting. I am assuming that it is excess inventory. I wonder about the commitment i.e. do you belong at $99/mo into perpetuity? (i.e. $1200/year approx = a deeded MF)? or can you cancel and then sign up again later when you need it?

There was a thread on this on Reddit like 3 months back … As someone who likes to take advantage of open season cash bookings, this type of program competing for inventory irritates me.

Reading the terms again, it just seems like a terrible value of a program — I had thought the automatic travel credit was applicable to room rates, but reading the terms again seems like that is only available to use on the arrivia travel platform — so pay $1788/year to save 25% off best available rate + 25$/night up to a maximum of 12 nights…. Plus $2000 “savings” from arrivia with nebulous additional terms/limitations.

This line in the T&C amused me “Prices of Hilton Grand Vacations ownership interests vary based on the product purchased and range from $9,900 to $960,990” — any guesses as to what the $960,990 deed is?

I doubt they will get that many people to pay $99 monthly for a discount program that doesn’t even include a fully paid trip.

But the lucky club members will have the privilege to attend exclusive presentations at HGV resorts to ‘learn’ more about how to better use this membership

Waikiki penthouse units.

I agree with Chantal, just another nothing burger to monetize all this unsold inventory they have acquired with recent purchases.

my first reaction was 25% off Standard room rates (I assume = Rack Rates) is no deal at all. If I'm hunting hotel rooms, I'm not generally paying anywhere close to rack rates (generally).

So I just don't understand the value proposition here

yeah, HH gets you about 10% or AAA similar. Plus, if you look on third party sites, you may be able to get cheaper but still paying get an extra 15% than you can get for free via HH seems odd, unless you maximize the other benefits but, for me, still not worth doing
