Something broke with Nashville

Add:
-Can not upgrade from a 1br suite to a 1br deluxe. Or a 2br to a 2br lockoff.
-Can not change traveler name on day of check in.

I find the unspoken restrictions on using the PROVIDED guest certificates the most troubling.

You cannot upgrade from a 1BR suite to a 1BR Deluxe. That is absolutely true. The reasoning they give is that, technically while a Deluxe room is a "larger room", the metric they use to upgrade is it has to be a different size bedroom room type. You also cannot upgrade from a 1BR Deluxe to a 1BR Presidential. It seems like you should be able to, but the system doesn't see it that way...

You CAN however, upgrade from a Studio to either a 1BR suite, 1BR standard, 1BR Deluxe or 1BR Presidential, or any larger (2BR, 3BR, etc) room type

You absolutely CAN upgrade from a 1BR suite or 1BR Deluxe to a 2BR LockOff. I do it all the time. Most of the time you get upgraded into a 2BR Deluxe because the room "cost" on the deluxe is lower than the lockoff, but it is possible... just usually the deluxe has to be unavailable.

Prior to "voyager", we COULD upgrade from a 1br to a 1br deluxe. The upgrade paths were drastically reduced with "voyager".

If there's a one bedroom presidential reserve available it will offer me that upgrade from the one bedrrom suite or deluxe. I'll have to check it out to see if it's only for the one bedroom PR units or the one bedroom presidentials too.

FYI @HitchHiker71 this is still broke and people are starting to report it on some of the Facebook groups.

Did Wyndham give you a timeline to fix? It seems ridiculous that this has been broke for at least over a month. I reported it on April 14.

IME Wyndham doesn't give timelines for software fixes - not publicly at least. No update since I initially submitted this item, I'll inquire again to see if there's any additional update to provide.
 
There's a stated maintenance window tomorrow night, hopefully that fix will be in there.

Fingers crossed! 🤞 :cool: BTW @Richelle replied to my query yesterday indicating this issue isn't limited to the MAC - it also occurs with the normal resort availability search function.
 
UPDATE: The website team determined the reported issue is a back-end issue. It is currently with that team being investigated. In laymen's terms this likely means it's gonna be a while if it's not resolved in tonight's update (and no, I have no idea if tonight's update is for the back end or front end team - or both). This means that the website is working as designed, however the data being returned from the middleware via the back end for the subset of impacted resorts in question, is not what is expected - hence the errors. Based upon my now considerable experienes in troubleshooting these types of issues, it is literally that the left hand (front end team) does not know what the right hand (back end database/systems team) is doing unfortunately.
 
What's another month of two resorts being unbookable, right?

Something weird is showing up on my account under points. I'm now showing multiple use years, which is weird because I have always been an October use year, but one of my resales is now showing January use year. It never did that before today.

Makes me think there were back end database team changes made during the last outage window. This explains both Cindy's account disappearing, and your account showing different values for use years - since the website is simply displaying data from the back end via the middleware. I did email my Wyndham IT contacts indicating this reported issue is still unresolved and it's heating up given it's been at least a month since it was initially reported, and may actually have gotten worse after yesterday's outage window. I received a note back from the Wyndham website team indicating they are performing additional testing, and that they are looking to provide a timeline back for a fix - more to come when I know more.
 
Thanks. And if you can give feedback this current flash sale they have going, while nice, is an absolute abortion of inconsistency and lack of communications.

At some resorts, accessible units are not discounted while normal units of the same room size and type ARE.

Some resorts only 1BR suites or Studios are discounted (never see that before), some are Sun-Thurs only, which is fine, and we've seen that before, but the lack of communications and inconsistency this time around is wild...

Also I cant remember exactly where, but the discounts which are supposed to go through 7/27 stop around 7/8
 
FYI this seems to be fixed, as of this morning.

BTW... both resorts are part of the 50% off flash sale...
