Unable to check availability in the calendar for Nashville in either the app or website.

In the Website, get the "something unexpected happened", in the app get "Unhandled error caught by default fault handler".

Has been happening for 2 days, any date range. This is the only resort I can see this happening. Is not happening at the Margaritaville Nashville.

Happens in the Monthly Availability Calendar as well as the date range search if you use Nashville, TN as the location in the other search options...

@HitchHiker71

I just discovered this is also happening at Cypress Palms

The CMA Fest in Nashville is June 4-7. I've been looking at dates before and after the event, so not the event dates. The monthly calendar freezes up or blanks out. A dashboard search will sometimes show what's available but not always. I've had different/better results when I clear the dashboard history and start over.

I'm really hoping the outage tonight corrects whatever is going on with Nashville!

Also hoping that inventory will be loaded at a number of resorts. Out of curiosity I've been watching availability at a number of resorts for June, July, and August and in some cases even September. There's no availability. At some, the Saturdays in August and September are showing availability which doesn't make sense as you wouldn't expect Saturdays to be available. I know from past experience at some of the resorts I'm checking multiple times a day for weeks now that zero availability isn't normal. Is the system worse, more flawed, than we already think it is? Is Wyndham is holding back significantly more inventory? Is the impact of losing my conservative estimate of at least 100k unit weeks, now rearing it's ugly head? I'm guessing it's a combination of all three.

Wyndham's purge is so short sighted. Who in their right mind would buy retail now?

For most folks wanting inventory that doesn't appear as available (not saying this applies to your use case - but let's always promote what the average owner should do as a general rule), use the waitlist function - at least for anything outside of the 60 day discount window.

Let's wait until after tonight's planned outage window and see if this reported issue clears up before reporting it to Wyndham. Many times we've seen similar behavior where a back-end change is made prior to the planned website outage window that results in temporary inventory misalignments. Not saying it's justified, just making an observation based upon past experiences.

New owners only know how things are now. Not how they were.

Businesses count on that. Many of us are old enough to remember when canned goods were called 1# (pound) or 2# cans because they were 16 or 32 ounces. Those cans have been 14 or 28 ounces for long enough now that calling them 1# or 2# cans has faded from useage. I wonder if I made a grocery list for most people under 35-40 and put down 1# or 2# can various things on my list if they would even know what I meant. I'm laughing thinking of our 14 year old granddaughter asking why I'm using hashtags on a grocery list and telling me using hashtags is kind of out now.

We adapt, sometimes more than we should and all too quickly to a new norm. For Wyndham just since 2020? it's been no more one night stays. No more mid week trash and tidy and often we can't even get a cleaning when we stay in the same unit for multiple weeks. Reservations that don't upgrade when a larger unit of the same type sits there for days if not weeks? You're told it's based in availability when anyone with working brain cells can see that it is available. You're told you can cancel your reservation and book a new one and you do just that but the system never gets fixed and the lies get more ridiculous. When most of us who bought developer bought, one of the main reasons we bought as many points as we did was to be able to send family and close friends on vacations too. Now we get two exceptions to the owner priority lists if we can't or don't want to go to those resorts with our family and close friends. What else am I forgetting to list?

We've seen months of no availability at multiple resorts in the past. Usually within days, weeks, sometimes a month or more big blocks of inventory get added. That might happen after tonight's outage, or not, but we'll see. Fingers crossed!

Part of the reason I've been watching so many resorts as closely as I have is to figure out if I'll need to tailor my expectations for our future long spring and fall trips. Perhaps this is the new normal we can expect with availability.

Another reason is to stay informed on our son's behalf. He has three children, 4, 9, and 14, with different school and activity schedules and our DIL is a teacher. In a few months we'll be 75 and 77. We could have another ten years of traveling with our timeshares or it could all end tomorrow. I never thought I'd condone our son not keeping what we have, but from seeing what many other owners are saying about their families situations, I'm realizing that unfortunately it might not be feasible for him to keep it if availability is going to be an issue.

I can't say I have a lot of data points since the closures because 10-month booking is a long game, but I haven't seen an issue yet at 10 months (which for me is the sweet spot when you have kids in school and know their break schedules a year in advance). They're going to be booking with a different strategy than you currently use, at different stages of life and schedules.

Something is still broke with Nashville.

However it's better. Previously any time I tried to use the MAC, it would give me "something unexpected happened", now it's only giving it when trying to search specific dates.

Specifically for me, any time I tried to search with a start date of 6/29 it errors out. Start date of 6/30 works. It's also slower than any other resort when checking availability.

Cypress Palms is also still broke.

For Nashville, cannot reproduce using date range 6/29-7/1 using the MAC:

Also tried using 6/29 from 7/2 up through 7/6 - no issues:

Not saying it's not happening to you - just stating that I cannot reproduce it myself yet.

On Cypress Palms here's what I see intermittently within the MAC at least:

Sometimes it'll work though:

So this issue seems intermittent, which makes it more difficult to reproduce and to report steps to reproduce unfortunately. So keep trying - as my experience is it'll fail one time and work the next. I'll have to write this up and send it over to my Wyndham IT contacts either today or tomorrow.

I don't know what to tell you... i'm not making this *bleep* up

I tried several date ranges in late June and early July and get this. Same thing happens on the App, but you get the different "Unhandled error caught by default fault handler" error.

I was able to check availability in May and early June at Nashville without getting the error. Which it was NOT letting me do before.

I can get nothing to work at Cypress Palms. I can't check any dates, it instantly goes to this error without even putting in any dates. Which is what Nashville was doing before.

Also, when you navigate to these 2 resorts, it "spins" for an abnormally long time, which it does not do for any other sites

Still happening:

On a whim, I tried something different and chose specific room types. Choosing 1BR shows no availability at all on my calendar, but does not error out. Choosing 2 BR gives me the error.

Attempting to choose any date range with the room type selected on either 1 or 2 BR gives error. Select all suites allows you to select SOME dates without error...

Cypress Palms is still completely broke.

Thanks for the additional feedback - I reported this issue to Wyndham IT this morning - will keep everyone posted.

Specifically I an looking to book Cypress Palms for a new date Fri 5/1 to Sun 5/3 for a last minute thing and can't check availability there at all

Reported issue reproduced by Wyndham IT - sent to dev for investigation this afternoon.

Any update on this? Still seems to be broke.

If family, that are not owners. and friends use more reservations than you do, you will be accused of being commercial, even if you are within the free guest certificates you are provided.

Have you tried from the Dashboard? I don't have a MAC, but when I've had issues with the calendar, many times I've been successful by searching from the dashboard.

MAC = Monthly Availability Calendar - not the type of computer - as it relates to this thread.

No update from Wyndham yet on this item.

I have and it sporadically seems to show availability using the dashboard, but the one time I tried to book, I got the same "unexpected error has occurred".

My emergent last minute issue for needing a spot at Cypress Palms the first weekend in May was averted by finding a spot that freed up at Ocean Walk. It's a longer drive, but it will suffice.

If the greater percentage of your points are used for guest reservations than owner reservations, yes, that will flag your account with Owner Resolutions and Strategy to get you a warning letter. It isn't just the number of guest reservations the owner uses although that will also flag your account.

Of course there's nothing anyone can or will say or put in writing about how many points or guest reservations owners can use without coming under scrutiny. However, the unofficial word is if you don't go over 40% of your points for guest stays, you'll be okay.

If you're like some owners who do one or two big family vacations a year where they're using a lot of points and guest confirmations but are also staying there themselves, I don't think that would count against you.

Grand Desert is also showing no inventory. Was able to book RCI 1 bedroom for less then using my Worldmarkcredits. Add in guest reservation and a HK plus club pass when booking with Worldmark cost was about 1/2

@Jan M. "We adapt, sometimes more than we should and all too quickly to a new norm." So true! I am a long time owner. Currently Founders through PIC.

Add:
-Can not upgrade from a 1br suite to a 1br deluxe. Or a 2br to a 2br lockoff.
-Can not change traveler name on day of check in.

I find the unspoken restrictions on using the PROVIDED guest certificates the most troubling.
